Are you guys going to talk about the ANGER that they display when they're caught lying?

Chaff and redirect is something I do accidentally sometimes. Not to distract, but because I tend to tell too much about non-important parts of the Congo.

Body language… especially when a patient makes a body shift and/or do a fine motor skill when being deceiving….cross their legs, fold arms, shift in their chair, digging in a purse, handle a folder/piece of paper, scratch an itch, etc… People who are truthful, generally hold still while in a banter. I also listen and listen…and then booooom…. You will hear a contradiction to the previous information shared… and you know they are not keeping track of their lies well. Now the question is … how did they slip up and what caused the slip?

What if the patient has anxiety, Im a very anxious person- it can make me fidget actually it does a lot. What would you look for in someone like this because surely the method of judging would be different

Nothing is always true though. That’s why baselining is so essential. Body language isn’t equal across the board- that’s why it isn’t considered a real science. I have high anxiety and adhd, for example. If I’m lying I’m deadly still, and when I’m in typical/truthful convo- I move constantly. I think it’s because my brain is focusing so hard on making sure the lie is sold, that I hold still. Hope that helps open your mind some!

@@shannonbest106 every human being lies, no one is perfect. I do my best not to, and I have no poker face (meaning 1) I’m a terrible liar and 2) my face exposes how I really feel.) if you’re suggesting you never lie….well never mind. I just hope you come to terms with who and what you are. Even white lies are lies. Like Mark said, we all lie to be part of society- to fit in to friend groups, with coworkers, etc. even if it’s telling someone their new tie doesn’t look ridiculous. The point of the initial comment was to open your opinion up a bit and let you look past your biases. I know and love myself, and can look at my flaws so I grow from them. Sending love and healing!

I've never known about the blink rate, and too much eye contact in that creepy way that is very interesting.

I remember, years ago, when something happened, in another department at work and the first words out of this woman’s mouth was, “As God is my witness…” No shade to people of religiosity. But, bringing that, into a place of business simply doesn’t hold any respectable amount of water. Not everyone is as religious as you are, combine religion and business or are even from the same religion. A business is a pace of facts, traceability, numbers, and paperwork. There is no boss, when money is at stake, who is going to care about God being your witness.

I was no where near that bank that was rubbed & you better have proof of these allegations or I say slander & Yes.. That's a brand new car & Yes I'm buying a new house But that was just inheritance from way back... I just forgot.. Also What is your motivation for ask these questions in the first place because interrogating someone & just bullshiting are 2 different things... & the location of this interrogation with there ass on the line can change the game....
