Installed new KENWOOD DDX9905S and all the cables shown above and still no video or audio through A/V in.. can you tell me or do a video showing the above mentioned stereo step by step as to what to press on the screen to show mirror using the iPhone7plus? I think it’s either a faulty stereo or bad wires. Hi Five Star...I just purchased the Kenwood DDX395......to my shock and horror, there is no AV in jack nor an HDMI input. There are only RCA outs and a USB. I was really wanting to mirror my iphone 6s, but can't. I tried using the rear camera IN but no luck. Any thoughts or work arounds??? Jon

I use the mirroring and it works on some things other things it just shows closed captions and a dark background. When it does that I put my phone right above the stereo on the dashboard. But Netflix never mirrors

Hey bruvs...they currently have the adapters out that will eliminate at least 3 of them cords..couple different versions..look into USBc to hdmi and for micro USB devices there is a projector hdmi adapter for that and from there you can easily adapt to an iPhone..keep them videos coming though..always down for learning more tricks..

I have the DMX706s with a maestro RR. 2014 Raptor that had the Sony system. I have 2 cameras from the factory, front and rear camera. I can get my front cam to come on for a brief second but that's it. Maestro says it won't work. Do you know of anything I can do to gain this feature back? I live in the country and the stereo shops 20mins away are useless for this information.

Quick question, I recently just installed headrest screens with RCA cables in my Acura TL. I have the Kenwood 572BH. The technician had warned me that the receiver wont allow me to play from the direct HDMI output to my RCA cabled headrest TVs I had installed because of some sort of security measure, but will play USB and DVDs just fine. I just wanted to know that if I did this alternative, would it allow me to bypass that and play videos to my headrests?

+Provo Beast Audio Installation if you are a Aamp of American dealer they sell a cheaper alternative. Finding one with the right pin out is a pain. Some the Red and Yellow rca just need to be switched.

I want to take this connection a few step furthur but concerned with non apple converters working or not. I want to go from the lightning to a surface mount usb on my dash. The only products ive seen to do this involves a female lightning > micro usb adapter > regular usb > surface mount usb. This way i can just plug my normal lightning cable into a nice clean plug on my dash.

mike lingenfelter it looks like your radio has an AV input on the back so you will need just the iSimple MediaLinks. You will also need what ever type of phone you have adapter. iPhone Lightning to hdmi or Android Miracast

Hey, I'm running a kenwood Excelon ddx793, I just followed your steps perfectly except I used a RadioShack hdmi to composite converter instead of the isimple medialinx. For some reason when I click a/v on my radio, I'll hear the sound and my phone will say it is playing videos to tv, but all I see is a blue screen on the headunit. I went ahead and ordered a medialinx cable just incase that is my problem, but if that doesn't fix anything do you have any clue what's going on? Thanks!

Did you get the Kenwood CA-C3Av cable? That is very important, not all aux to RCAs are wired the same.

Five Star Car Stereo tried that and pretty much same results. I have samsung s8 which has the new usb c charger instead of micro. I've tried a radio shack hdmi to rca converter and a mini hdmi2av converter thsy requires power no luck with either. but i can go in the house on my tv thays not a smart tv plug my phone into it and bam it works. any other suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks
