How to Watch YouTube TV on LG Smart TV

This video includes a tutorial on how to watch KZbin TV your LG Smart TV. Since getting this new LG Smart TV, I've been impressed with it capabilities and display. But being a relatively new KZbin TV subscriber, i had to see how this all worked.

As a new owner of a smart tv, I knew that the possibilities were endless. But see, that was where the problem came in. I knew i could get youtube tv on a smart tv, but how to watch it youtube tv on an LG smart TV. it wasn't as intuitiive as i had hoped, or maybe im just dumb.
You need to find the LG Content Store and then go to Apps and Games. There, you'll find KZbin as well as KZbin TV. Once you install and launch the app, you may never leave the house again...its awesome.

My older lg webos tv software does not give in lg store apps. Like youtube tv, hulu, Pluto tv etc. Which sucks because the tv is in good condition and plays beautiful. If I deleted apps to download youtube tv but apparently software does not support. Feeling left behind 😖😟☹😣😡🤨

@@riisparklover You know what's interesting, , , the audio comes through better when Chrome Casting on the LG TV, than when using the app on the LG TV. Strange!

@@riisparklover I don't know why it would be the internet provider. It's coming through the same pipe whether it's chrome casting, or the LG TV app. But no kidding, the audio has very small gaps when using the TV app, yet it's perfect chrome casting. (no idea why)

Playback errors everytime.Live guide loads fine. It worked only the first time after technical support had me reload the app, power down and restart after a minute my wifi, power down and restart my Tv, sign out and back in on my account, ensure location is set. Now the playback errors are back.First fix no longer helps. Technical support promised to expedite a fix for the problem 2 weeks ago.

RobG M3 you can't watch your purchased KZbin content on this TV. You can cast everything but the movies and series you have purchased on youtube. There is currently no solution for this.

I have had some issues with youtube tv on my lg smart tv. when i turn on my tv and go to youtube tv, it wants to re-start the shows that I had been watching 3 hours ago. I hit the 'live' icon and most of the time that works to bring up the current time listings. Sometimes it doesn't and it gets frustrating. there is excessive buffering. What does fix it is to hit the 'home' button, find the second LG store icon, find youtube tv and hit the 'launch' icon. It almost seems like the LG TV is corrupting the the youtube TV app on shutdown. As a test, I have installed youtube tv on my hp windows 10 laptop and over the same wi-fi network, and I never have any problems. So I am pretty sure the problems that I am having are on the LG side and not youtube TV. Any LG smart TV users out there having problems, try the same test on your desktop or laptop.

KZbin TV has a built in DVR and you can record whatever you'd like. Check your local listings, but KZbin TV carries NBC in most areas, and I believe they still have Sunday Night Football, so you should be good to go.

It seems like there are two versions of the youtube tv app, there are sometimes two LG content store icons appearing on my tv, one is wider in display and the other is narrow with different shades of red. the narrow one works.

@@tedfarnen8656 I came looking for the same info. The only way I can figure out how to do it is to press back on the remote. It is clunky because sometimes you have to press back many times. You can connect your phone and navigate that way.

Thanks Jason! I'm all set up but wondering if there is a way to have the TV default to KZbin TV when you turn it on. I still used to cable TV and turning the TV on to the last channel you viewed. Since we cut cable it now defaults to Live TV and it's all static until I scroll through to the app and launch it. Is there a workaround to have it default to KZbin TV when you turn the tv on? I just had an update for my LGTV app which now has a back (esc) button and a search button in the bottom right. Sounds great, except there is no way i can access them with my remote and the back button lo longer works as normal.
