Sorry, I'm with Blake on this one. The obvious caveat being if the weather is too intolerable for trousers then wear shorts but, at least where I live, I can rock a nice pair of seersucker or linen/cotton blend trousers for most of the summer and still be comfortable.

Men cant wear skinny jeans or men cant wear shorts and dare not wear capris...OMG...blasphemy....lol....men in other countries dont seem to have the same mentality as far as wearing different styles of clothing as we Americans do. Trousers dont make you any more manly than wearing shorts. Free yourself men....and wear what you like and feel good in it.

Never liked shorts until recently. Found out that it was because the shorts I got never fit well (they were way too big, aka cargo shorts) now I love them, especially with a polo!! Cmon Blake!!

I think a very important thing, that often is forgotten, in how to look good in shorts is “what do you wear as a top”. I see people wearing shorts and then they have a long sleeve shirt or a jacket?!?! That makes you look very “top-heavy”. The whole point of wearing shorts is to be cool… and the upper body is the first part of your body to undress… you can not go further and undress you lower body and then go back and put on a f$€£ing jacket!!! It’s like you would go to the beach with a t-shirt and no bathing shorts. If what you wear on you lower body doesn’t extend below the knees, the thing you wear on your upper body can’t extend below the elbows. Otherwise you will look weird…

Gotta say I agree with Blake. I wear denim and chinos in the summer all the time. I really don't notice my legs getting that uncomfortable. A lot of it might be me not being the biggest fan of my legs in shorts

I tell you what. I'm from Italy. Shorts are worn alot here, because it tends to be really hot and humid. Usually guys in their 20's wear them alot. More mature guys like 30 and up whear long pants. This summer white or light color pants are a trend here. I wear shorts by day (depends on ocassion) But in the evening when we go for some prosecco we like to dress up a bit.

This was really fun to watch and your back and forth was really funny. You touched on a number of things to always consider and that's your personal style, the weather, fabric utility (very nice point about denim shorts having more room to promote air flow) and proportion.

It is my yearly goal to rock the shorts from May to October . Get yourself some nice flat front shorts . Wear them with a polo and nice sneakers for a casual look . Wear them with a short sleeve oxford and boat shoes or loafers for a dress up .

If I lived in up north where the air is dry and summer highs are 85 I might wear pants more often. But I live in Texas. More specifically my life revolves around Houston, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio. It’s too hot and humid to wear pants at 2pm mid summer, I’ll do it if I have to. That being said I dont know how I could live here without shorts, and even though it wasn’t discussed in the video.... sandals are vital down here too, at least in my opinion Here’s a funny way of explaining humidity to those that haven’t experienced it. Take a hot shower, don’t dry yourself off and put your clothes on then walk outside

I used to have the same attitude towards shorts that Blake has but as of 2 months ago I've been rocking them almost daily. I'm actually wearing a pair of the red shorts that you mentioned in this video right now. I'm stylin' them with a white and navy striped RL polo shirt and sockless Reebok classic sneakers. I'm in total agreement about the cargo shorts and other baggy shorts. When a guy has legs like George's, they definitely need to be let out.

I'm from Honduras and I live in a city near to the Caribbean Sea, the most part of the year is Summer here and we love to wear shorts, Okay, isn't mandatory to wear them all year long but is a comfortable way to go out and to quick tasks outside home, like go to supermarket, bank or somewhere when you know that you won't spend much time just pop out. By the way, I like to wear trousers, boots, dress shoes and so on, but shorts are part of my oufits as well. Cheers!

So I've recently had a lifestyle change and as such my style is changing also; that being said I love cargo shorts but I understand thye are long and baggy so I decided to only wear them at work in the summer. I did have find that wrangler makes a great cargo short that's fits almost perfect in terms of length that I wear when running errands.

A little late on this one, lol; here shorts are everywhere during the hot spring/summers, guys can't wait to drag them out on the first mild day .. can't see wearing long pants on a hot day unless it's a very thin natural material. Avoid poly fabric whatever.

I think the length or shorts are depends on wear you are coming from. Anything in the US need to be longer. In Australia shorter shorts are fine.
