I am surely going to try this out. I've been wanting to weave or crochet all my life but just dont have the skills. You make this looked so easy. Thank you for this video.
Never say you dont have the skill to do anything. YOU DO. It's just a: you never asked about learning it or B: no one asked if you wanted to learn it.

Go Sharon go!!! (Asked my mom decades ago to teach me how to knit..she now wants me to teach her some techniques from the over 100 patterns I know how to do..LOL! Taught myself a little crochet. Even tried tatting, but that did not end well. I threw the shuttle >.< lol! Happy crafting to you and your daughter!)

How do you finish this off?
@toscatattertail98134 жыл бұрын
If you start the weaving at the edge and work across the entire piece you get a much better piece without uneven strands at the top. to finish off the bottom you to square knots 2 strands at a time or 4 depending on how big you want the knots.
But, how do you finish it off? Lovely colours and yarn
@AussieFIag5 жыл бұрын
That’s what I would like to know also!
@warriormaiden98295 жыл бұрын
I'd tie knots using 2 strands, (so you now have 9 "tassels", the same number of pairs you start with) then comb out the ends for fringe. :)

I learned this stuff in Grade School. Guys had to take home economics, sewing, cooking, stuff your doing. Girls had to take wood shop, metal shop. It came in handy when I was in the Navy, Boatswain's Mate. Made nice Lanyards for the Whistle's. Don't know if taught any more in school. Was in mid 70s.

Wow thats so cool that they had you do the opposite of what traditional gender roles would dictate. I graduated HS in 2008 and I definitely never heard of anything like that. We had the option to take all those classes as "electives" but since there were no requirements, the girls mainly took home ec and the boys would take shop classes. I was always too intimidated to take wood shop or auto shop even though I would have liked to.

This was in Southern Indiana. We also had Paddling. If you got in trouble. Had to bend over, grab your ankles, and paddle board was 3 feet long. Also, had a math teacher, if you made a joke in his class, would take you out into Hall and slam you against lockers. Was all about education back then, no messing around. My grandkid is a high school freshman. Doesn't have to take Gym. So Sad.
