I have never been one of those people who explains things well, especially conveying an action. You did a great job of explaining the mechanics and what to feel, now I just need a Grom to practice.

Only thing I’m confused on is you say 8-12 mph but I’m trying to start slower around 4-5 mph
@Kawagromba
@Kawagromba 4 жыл бұрын
You absolutely can go slower! Whatever’s comfortable. I start at like 4 mph on average I think, practically standing still, but have noticed after watching my friends learn that people who are learning tend to wanna start a little faster so you’re more stable coming up with a little forward momentum. 😄

I'll give you the best advice.... practice practice practice. Fail learn from your fail. Someone can tell you how to wheelie with the best intentions. But muscle memory comes from practice.

When you are saying “give a little gasss…tap the brake” are you still giving gas the whole time or are you off the gas while giving it brake?
@Kawagromba
@Kawagromba 2 жыл бұрын
Letting off the gas for the most part but still on it a little. But when I first learned I didn’t fluctuate the gas all too much, I just rode the brake but that’s not necessarily a good thing 😂 long as you cut that out once you learn

ia this a stock clutch everyone acts like you need an upgraded clutch to wheelie, can i just buy a stock grom and its ready to wheelie?
@Kawagromba
@Kawagromba 2 жыл бұрын
Technically yes but also no. It’s recommended that you buy an aftermarket modded oil pump that prevents oil starvation to the cylinder head, like Straight Up Pumps. You don’t need clutch upgrades but it does help a lot, especially once you want to do 2nd and 3rd gear wheelies. Can always change sprockets to help with that as well though too

@@Kawagromba I am using 50 tail gears and I feel that the torque is too large, and I am considering reducing the tail gears 😆 I am learning from your video 😄
@Kawagromba
@Kawagromba 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s a lot of torque! Maybe try a 40 tooth rear sprocket if you have a 15 tooth front sprocket. It would be a pretty big difference but similar to the 14/37 ratio that most everybody uses. I’m glad I could help with the tutorial though, I hope you get it down soon!!
