Got t-boned on my Yamaha Zuma 125 by a guy who ran a stop sign. Shattered my leg and I'm recovering from surgery until early spring but between now and then I am going to use the insurance money to buy a Grom. I will definitely be watching these videos because it was impossible for me to ride a wheelie more than a short length because of the weight of the Zuma and the fact that it didn't have gears, it was automatic so I could not pop the clutch to get it up there high enough to maintain a wheelie. Looking forward to healing up and getting back to riding. Thanks for the videos!!

5:57 I have scar tissue on my knees elbows and shoulder bc I didn't think about this part until it was too late all I was thinking was clutch gas pop up get as close to the balance point feather the throttle drop it down. I was pulling the bike up instead of using my throttle bc it was really poppy and sensitive and scary for a first timer who only rode a kids bike before until he was like 16 and his dad showed him all these high speed passes on his cbr 600 and 1000 and him doing wheelies and I was like I can do it Im my father's son. Moral of the story don't ride under the influence unless it's a few beers and your riding pit bikes in your back yard and i ate shit bc my handle bars were fully left or right I don't remember. Just keep em straight when your coming down

MasFace one thing I learned trying these is: Go 5mph, hit 8,000 rpm (6k if you’re skinny lol) then it’ll come up. Otherwise good luck... I can’t get it up in second for the life of me. Only first. But that’s bc it’s fully stock. No sprockets, no pipe, no tuner, no air filter... all of that is on the way!
@tabletop45 Жыл бұрын
i just picked up a grom a month ago and i wanna learn how to stunt it, wheelies etc... but this is also my first year as a rider ( my first bike is a DR350) so im already on my second bike but i went backwards with a 125cc lol, but i figured its easier to learn to wheelie on... im a 32 year old dude and 250lbs so a bit heavier, so im assuming i follow all the same steps as you described but need to sit further back on the seat? i can start to get it to wheelie in first if i just give it a bunch of gas and pull back it will start to lift the tire up but just barely.
