The best fighting stance is meant to keep you safe, but some martial arts stances are better than others. I've combined boxing technique with MMA technique to create what I believe to be the be the best self-defense stance possible (or self-offense... I don't care what you do with this stuff). howtofightnow.com
If you follow these details, you will be able to move effectively to both attack your opponent and defend yourself. Consistently returning to this position will make you a powerful martial artist.
For more lessons on how to fight and how to win fights, visit:
howtofightnow.com
The lessons are FREE... and they're all awesome.
Lot's of people want to learn how to fight, but they have no idea where to look. You can find a lot of street fighting videos on KZbin, and a lot of videos titled "how to win a street fight", but most of them are crap. I personally don't want to learn from some dude punching a couch cushion in his back-yard, with his twitchy girlfriend holding his IPhone camera... but that's just me.
I created the fight smart training program to teach people how to fight with REAL TECHNIQUES that work... I gathered them in my career as a professional fighter. If these techniques work in the cage, they will certainly work in a street fight. A lot of times, I had these moves used against me... and it hurt.
I don't care what your purposes are: self-defense, a personal quest, or just to be a more powerful bully... it doesn't matter. My job is to provide you with the realest fighting moves out there, and to teach you how to fight and win every time. Be sure to check out my website... I have far more video on howtofightnow.com than I have in my KZbin channel.... and they're free.... because I'm cool like that.
Check out the website and good luck learning how to punch, how to kick, how to do Jiu Jitsu, how to do Muay Thai kickboxing, and how to do any of the other Keywords that I'm trying to target by writing this channel description.

Simile: Her eyes were like pools of water. Metaphor: Here eyes were pools of water. One literary technique is saying that an object is SIMILAR to another. A metaphor states that it IS the object.

FightSmartTrav First of all, I really do love your videos. It's pretty interesting to see the science and background of what's important when fighting. I do have a question regarding the stance: I see why is in kick-/thai boxing the parallel stance preferred, instead of this side stance? Are the advantages of this side stance already covered by the better defense capabilities of the bigger gloves and the fact that you don't have to care about take downs?

What you're doing is awesome. You are really breaking it down to the basics of what FIGHTING is all about: stance, punch, control, movement, defense, thought, confidence. You are clearly explaining MMA level techniques to the layman--strengths, weaknesses, and the possibilities of the human body. My question is: What is the use of your instructions outside of professional sports? Sure, being in control of your physical body and being able to defend yourself at any time is great, but, honestly...

This is great. No one talks about how detrimental being mad can be during a fight. I believe that the oriental philosophy behind the martial arts is for this purpose...to keep your emotions at bay so you can perform at your best. Great site guys. The humor says a lot about your philosophy..You are so much more dangerous when you arent mad and in control..

Whom so ever says fights go to the ground I have this to say. "You took them to the ground" and it is silly to say that every post of every KZbin clip that someone posts. Is saying that part of how you get your black belt in ground fighting? "You must say it goes to the ground or you are instantly out of the dojo!" Great video you had me at tag

I'm a righty, started out orthodox but I've been fighting southpaw for about 5 years. My left shoulder isn't what it used to be and I feel that My left cross is short and awkward compared to my right cross, so my standup feels like it'd be better in orthodox, but I'm used to wrestling with my right side forward and all my takedowns come from that stance. Any ideas?
