How To Dodge Punches - howtofightnow.com/bobandweave... It's not hard to learn how to slip punches. You will be amazed at how little you have to move your head in order to slip a punch. Dodging punches doesn't have to waste a lot of energy. You can slip punches with very small head movements and make your opponent miss easily... then you can counterpunch and completely smash his face.
My head movement training program is fantastic. I combine boxing techniques and MMA techniques to give you the most efficient ways to make a punch miss from all martial styles. You can get these lessons FREE at howtofightnow.com.
If you want to learn more about dodging punches and workouts to teach you head movement training, that is the place to go.
Have fun on the site, and post in the forum if you have any questions about slip or dodge training, or if you want to learn how NOT to dodge punches like anderson silva, go to the website.
howtofightnow.com
Boxing dodge... yes....
howtofightnow.com I have a HUGE pile off MMA technique videos which can be found free at How To Fight Now .com - The Fight Smart Training Program.
Lot's of people want to learn how to fight, but they have no idea where to look. You can find a lot of street fighting videos on KZbin, and a lot of videos titled "how to win a street fight", but most of them are crap. I personally don't want to learn from some dude punching a couch cushion in his back-yard, with his twitchy girlfriend holding his IPhone camera... but that's just me.
I created the fight smart training program to teach people how to fight with REAL TECHNIQUES that work... I gathered them in my career as a professional fighter. If these techniques work in the cage, they will certainly work in a street fight. A lot of times, I had these moves used against me... and it hurt.
I don't care what your purposes are: self-defense, a personal quest, or just to be a more powerful bully... it doesn't matter. My job is to provide you with the realest fighting moves out there, and to teach you how to fight and win every time. Be sure to check out my website... I have far more video on howtofightnow.com than I have in my KZbin channel.... and they're free.... because I'm cool like that.
Check out the website and good luck learning how to punch, how to kick, how to do Jiu Jitsu, how to do Muay Thai kickboxing, and how to do any of the other Keywords that I'm trying to target by writing this channel description.

is one of the easiest ways of improve, with a good stand, basic foot work and this basic slip guide your defence improve a lot and you can get all this in like a week is just a simple reflex that must be traing a few minuts a day for some days, even if you are not perfect in any of the technics you become harder to hit by a regular guy, and also you are not so easy to knock out even by a normal boxer, when you practice this things a little bit all day you get used to it very quickly

Watch some Mike Tyson fights, or videos of him training. He "U-ducks" under the hooks and rips deadly hooks to the body. One "shovel" hook from him to the liver will end a fight. Trav covers this well in other videos. Buying his "all access" pass is a good investment in learning excellent fighting techniques.

The problem with the position you mention is that you have no offense from there... there are other more well orchastrated blocks you can use which will leave you with a better chance of success afterwards. Hey Trav, I absolutely love your videos. I've been doing BJJ for quite a while, and about a year ago I took up kickboxing as well. These videos offer a really complete look into basic techniques, with great (and often funny) explanations. Just 1 question: This head movement technique is really great and I'm learning a lot. But what if I'm sparring with a person who's also watched your vids, and easily slips my punches? What would you say is the best counter to this technique?

FightSmartTrav makes this slip and counter technique look so easy, and honestly it is, once you've had a million different punches thrown at you lol. That is literally the only way to learn how to perform like he does. From my own experience I can tell beginners what really helped me improve my head movement was training myself to react to those punches correctly (which I still practice all the time). Having a good sparring partner whom I trust is going to help me get better to do drills with is all I need...

I trained at Billy the Kid Irwin’s gym in Niagara Falls Canada for many years. Billy was light weight world Champion, British Commonwealth champion etc.. He would watch the new boxers who wanted to start training with him, and he’d get upset if they didn’t spend 20 or 30 min shadow boxing as a warmup. He was a no nonsense guy and didn’t spend time on techniques that weren’t helpful, so he saw value in shadow boxing ‘in front of a mirror’.

I agree that slipping to your inside is probably advantageous in a street fight, but those that are aspiring boxers should not make this a habit. Slip to the outside of the punch always, to expose your opponents' body for counter-punches and just to basically be a smaller target for your him. If you slip inside of a jab you are putting your face directly in the path of a right hand if your opponent chooses to throw one in quick succession. Awesome tips though
@twhiz92
@twhiz92 10 жыл бұрын
Haha and then 10 seconds later after I resumed watching this video, he explains the slip to the outside. I should have been more patient
@twhiz92
@twhiz92 10 жыл бұрын
It's not necessarily always the inside, I suppose that's a pretty vague term. You always slip to the outside of their punch. Two orthodox fighters, you slip to your right of their jab, and to the left of their cross.

HPM Boss Not if you're a peek-a-boo boxer. They always slip to the left to avoid jab cross combination. If they slip to the right, then they follow with the V-bob. Then they spring forward and twist. Work the body and head. Tyson's favorite combo. But peek a boo is hard to learn. I'm practicing with it now.

I used to do light sparring with a friend of mine, bought a couple of 12oz pairs of gloves and mouthguards. I was fair unco but I worked on dodging during our sparring and it was by far the most useful thing for me (though I wish I had these vids back then). I got into a punchup with some knobhead on NYE and he gave up after missing his first 2 swings. It's a shitty substitute for boxing training but it's a good way to get comfortable dodging 'smelly cheese' from some random, untrained wanker if you're a poor ass uni student. Though it takes a good and calm friend to exchange relatively harmless punches in the face and not lose their head. One of my mates almost knocked me out. Caution and adult supervision is recommended.

make a friend of your grab some gloves and throw some punches at you, make some hit and others dont, you make them hit you so you now what punches feel like and you get used to get punched in the face, second of all you train your head movement. after that, learn how to float like a butterfly and sting like a fucking musquito who caries malaria xD worked for me, the best way to now how to fight is by sparring/fighting, the only thing you need is a pair of gloves and some 3 other homies you can train with. no adult supervision is necessary for this training. i mean come aan, nobody out there is gonna step up for u in the time of need in a dark alley corner :/ train with your buddies everyday, and fight back, my motivation song - Aloe Blacc - THE MAN, with that song I feel like a Bull chasing a red ass in a colosseum xD makes my blood pump! hell makes everybody's blood pump!!! wish you many lucks in your trainings !

The major problem with slipping, and countering is being able to execute what you've learn under extreme danger. Unless you practice religiously for this stuff, I suggest you keep yourself from getting into a fist fight. Secondly, if you are fighting a bigger guy, don't.

Sean Fisher if you’re running and they chase you, they will most definitely NOT punch while running unless if you stop moving. They’ll get you on the ground. When someone says run away from fights, it doesn’t mean only running on and on, because no one can do that forever. Finding a place where you can get help is your goal, not aimlessly sprinting away
@rainbowdash9388
@rainbowdash9388 4 жыл бұрын
Sean Fisher I’m just an ordinary guy using common sense. I may be wrong about some things, but running away is definitely one of the best options for a non-fighter like me. I’d like to learn more though
@rainbowdash9388
@rainbowdash9388 4 жыл бұрын
Sean Fisher thing is, what else can you do if you can’t fight? Ordinary people shouldn’t try to fight their way out of everything if they don’t know how. And then, what if there are multiple people?
