@@fuku512 theres a lot of technique, but it is also mainly strength that normal training doesnt always give you strength of your wrist in unusual positions and your forearms capability to move it there against another's resistance. I'm sure there's lots of people here who still think arm wrestling is just going straight sideways with your arm while standing 100% still. Great exposure. Mad respect to this dude, Eddie tries to rip his arm with redfaced, and he just speaks and gives guidance etc and resists it like it was nothing.. @@fukitall80 I'm assuming by perfect form you mean he knows all about the techniques. That would not mean he is able to perform them. Pretty much any decent super-heavyweight who has been training a few years would beat him, even if he knows all about armwrestling. Why you are putting Devon and Levan on the same level, I don't know, there are probably 3-4 guys between them in terms of strength, but they would both toy with Eddie. He is doing this to grow the sport in popularity, not necessary because he wants to win. If he was supposed to win they would put him against a mid-level lightweight. Even the good middleweights could beat Eddie if he had "perfect form". It all depends on armwrestling specific strength.

Neil "Supernatural" Pickup is the best armwrestling commentator in the world. Also a former British Armwrestling champion and founder of Arm Wars. He is one of THE best in the business. Bringing the WAL into the spotlight has been more exciting these last few years with some insane matches than ever. Now that they have changed a few rules, (the strap for instance is one of my favorite changes) it will prove to be interesting this coming season. If Eddie can just do the exercises and practice enough, lock in one or two techniques he will want to use for this match, he may be able to create a competitive match out of it where RVJ will have to work, use the vectors (shout out to engineers and ryan bowen for bringing that word back) for the win. Who really knows but professional armwrestlers can humble most people who are power lifters, big and strong, etc. in an armwrestling match without really having to struggle most of the time.

This is like listening to Yoda teach you the force. This is gold, I've watched Neil for a while now but never heard him teach, I hope Eddie realized the amount of knowledge given to him in the short amount of time.

Neil Pickup is the best teacher you could have gotten short of John Brzenk himself man. Awesome video.

Neil Pickup is the best commentator out of any sport. The guy’s an encyclopedia of his sport and the lines he comes out with crack me up. The bloke could make watching paint dry sound like a world cup final.
@jasoncreech44864 жыл бұрын
Eddie please collaborate with Devon sometime. Also very excited to see you cross sports.
@aboxofphotons4 жыл бұрын
Eddie was putting some effort into that, going red and sweating and the other bloke was just talking casually as if nothing was happening while they were both wrestling.

this is what i wanted to see so badly (said in the last video as well), armwrestling is so cool, fantastic to see you approaching the sport!

Wow mate, turned something seemingly so basic into something incredibly complex then through your clear experience turned it into something easy to understand.
@spawn86414 жыл бұрын
love how they are just talking to eddie while teaching him but he is breaking out in a sweat never jugde the size of a arm wrestling pro
@FireDramine74 жыл бұрын
If I wanted strength tho Id rather have the strength in Eddies categories and not that of armwrestler because that strength is pretty much useless in the real world and doesnt define your overall strength at all.
@MrKillApple4 жыл бұрын
Eddie's strength comes with huge disadvantages too, anyone could outrun him and he doesn't have any condition. Just look at his video where he tried the military course, a couple meters of running and he drops down.
@FireDramine74 жыл бұрын
@@MrKillApple If youre talking to me I know. I just said if I had to decide between the two I would choose Eddie. In the real world I much prefer endurance over strength tbh.
@joshyc20064 жыл бұрын
@@nd7231 definitely a born athlete, I bet if you strapped 78kg+ on and went for a run you'd struggle, take the weight out and like mentioned he's a shark 😂 plus strongman takes a lot of cardiovascular strength, look st the bpm of someone doing a truck pull
@UkSapyy4 жыл бұрын
@@nd7231 Swimming is a shit example considering when swimming you have a buoyancy force pushing back reducing the amount of weight you need to keep above the surface. The fact is Eddie doesn't have insane endurance but increased endurance in water has he's needing to carry less weight than normal due to buoyancy. Man is a genic mutate freak of a athlete but talk about blowing smoke up his arse.

A trainer that focuses on safety over a possible stronger option. That's great, hope you do well eddie
@TNM0014 жыл бұрын
he got him into the mess, i guess he had time to think about it. there are egos at play here, which is always dangerous if they are not on the same skill level (Eddie is no armwrestler, right?). so yea, let's not break the arm for a publicity stunt ;)

@@nsb2021 I know he's retired, so he has more free time, but I still feel that he's more daring to try new things than brian, even when he was still a strongman

He accepted a challenge to arm wrestle Lalas when he was still a strongman, Brian Shaw on the other hand has never actually had a proper arm wrestle before, other than his one with Eddie

@Fouren He doesn't need stamina, he needs strength lol. If you can curl 50kg then holding 20kg is really easy hence why Neil can hold Eddie for a long time without getting tired.

@Fouren it's sparring those mean nothing and all armwrestlers know that,especially against devon who always gives his opponents a better position in sparring but he could flash pin larry if he wanted
