The trick to Ukraine can be summed up as a focus on quality over quantity. You've got a lot of decent and cheap melee units that can just barely get you through early game where your goal is to hold out until you can get a bunch of upgrades into your serkerks(sp?). After a certain point your gunmen will be able to flatten just about anything.

Exactly. They have a higher range than 17th century musketeers and you kite all the way to your base and use the peasants to slow the enemy down, they’re pretty strong and cannot be captured))

If you just click on each corner of the map you can actually hear where the opponents base is. No need to send units to the center of the map.

Yes I know but it is quite lame that you can do that. I'm sure they might patch that out with some code, if there is fog of war, don't play sound to opponent. So yeah if you don't have any peace time that is a better way of knowing where your opponent is rather than sending scouts.

I just started playing this game. Your videos are helpful. My biggest problem so far is the rate at which I produce troops, even when I build more than one barracks. I notice in this video they are streaming out of your barracks very fast. Is this resource related? How do I go about this? Any help would be appreciated.

The rate is different for different troops and nations. The tool tip when you hover over each unit should tell you the building time of each unit. There are some research you can do in the blacksmith to increase cavalry building speed.

You wouldnt have chance with your 3 townhalls if i make from begining pikemans and grenadiers in DC. Fastest way to find out where is your enemy, go with camera on undiscovered corner and if u gonna hear something on ur headphones its mean that he is there :)

Well how could you know that you face Ukraine to know what build to have? You're right if you rush against Ukraine its an easy win, but if you make mistake then its gg because you will be behind on economy and Ukraine shooters with some upgrades are like solid chainsaw running through enemy army, love it when that happens, especially on a hill) Also the stand ground command gives +7 firepower and +7 defence after a few seconds so the defender will have that advantage don't forget.

i believe u but most of the players attack strait after pt. I didnt say its not good tactic but its very risky.

I find that most players don't, and there's ways of making you opponent stay in his base. Have about 50 cossacks attempt to raid but don't lose them, keep harassment up.

What the hell? i didn't know about the freecamera view..so you can see every move of your enemy since the beggining and even the upgrades? lol this explains how other players know when to raid or from where..Well this video have more informations than i expected.How can you inspect the enemy like that?

Its just a replay, I couldn't see what my enemy was doing during the game. But you can do this in a replay if you save the replay after the game finish. Just type 'www' and hit enter to enable commands. 'freecamera' and hit enter to enable the free camera so you can zoom in/out with scroll wheel and change view andgle with ctrl+click. Also you can reveal fog of war with ctrl+F and switch between players using num pad. You cannot do this in a game as that would be cheating.

I'm very new to this game. How are you having your guys automatically starting tasks? I noticed guys walk out of the town hall and then go straight to the fields or go chop wood.

Select the town hall and then set the rally point on the resource you want your peasants to go work on as soon as they come out. You can also hold shift to build multiple houses with one peasant, he will build them in order that you placed them(max 10 chained actions). You can also do this with a group, say task them with building a market, then barracks then stable with holding down shift that way you don't have to wait to give them the command they can just do it when they finished, and at the end try to shift command them to go back to gathering a resource that way nobody is standing about doing nothing. Sorry man, I've stopped making videos for this game a long time ago. The best advice I can give is depending on your peace time setting of the match is rush getting more town halls so you can have more peasants which = more resources. Also take gold mines early and upgrade them as soon as possible as gold can give you an advantage in research and getting extra mercenaries. And don't forget coal and iron if you are heavily focused on ranged units as they do use a lot of iron for bullets and coal for gunpowder in battles, without it musketeers are useless.

Is freecamera a add on? How can i use it or install it???

Hey Hossein, no it's not an add-on, its actually in the game! But its not easy to find out how to use it, I had to do a bit of trial and error to control the camera, you used to have to type in chat in the replays to enable the hidden commands 'www' and then 'freecamera'. But now you can even enable so of the freecamera features in actual multiplayer games through the in game settings if you wish for easier army manipulation and keeping track of where all your army is by zooming out past the default value. You can find all the details of the freecamera hotkeys on this forum post: www.cossacks3.com/forum/index.php?threads/all-hotkeys-and-cheats-updated-in-encyclopedia.29026/ Hope this helps, there's a lot of things in there that can help you learn all the powerful hotkeys too and you can even spawn units in single player using 'www' command and then pressing p to open the unit spawner, useful for making your own custom large battles a lot of fun or playing 1vs7 insane bots and spawning units on top of then and witness the satisfaction of 200 cannons firing at once at enemy army and buildings.

I’ve not played in a while but try right clicking for rally point when buildings are selected. Ctrl+Left click on a unit card for infinite units.

Sorry Man... but as i see how much units you build i'm quite sure i would destroy you every time by normal nation at 10 pt. Russia would build like 200 Pikeman, 10+ priest and 100++ shield man from Diplo.

I’m sure you would but you would only get one chance to push and win. This is because as Ukraine play style is to kite right back to the base and use the peasants as a front line, then you will lose vs serdyuks no matter how many pikemen you build on the retreat, they don’t have as good bullet defence as their European counterparts which they make up for in numbers. Pike vs Russian pike is suicide Russia will win if no cannons are involved. Of course as Ukraine vs Russia you have to have a different play style from the beginning, I wouldn’t use a tactic like this, my approach will be rush gold but invest it in 100 dragons from diplomatic centre out instead of Hermans and use them to kite even more. But you have a strong chance of breaking through at a pt 10 push with maxed out attack on Russian pikes and with a well trained build order you would win by catching Ukraine unprepared. The longer you leave your push the less chance you have. Anyways good luck in your games. I hope I gave you some tips incase you do face a strong Ukraine player.
