Day 150: Of requesting Levy to cover opposite coloured bishop endgames. Especially when you have a slight material advantage of being up by two or three pawns against your opponent and you both have opposite coloured bishops as well.

read how to reasses your chess. i covers opposite color bishops in that. for example if you have 2 bishops and 2 pawns up and the opponent has knight and bishop, trade your bishop for the knight that is the opposite color of the other bishop ur opponent has so u dont go into opposite coloured bishop endgames

Put your pawns on opposite color of opponent's bishop and once his bishop stops covering the square in front of your pawn push it and if it is attacked push it again. This is main rule. In game it would be easier to understand

Hey guys I think I may have spotted something levy might have missed at 47:07 when the h pawn is pushed threatening the queen can't u just take the Bishop leaving the queen hanging after pawn takes queen there is rook takes rook with check and after the king moves u pick up the second rook meaning you get a piece and two rooks for the queen which is winning. I'm only 1200 so please correct me if I'm wrong but I just thought it would be cool to point this out. Thanks for the great video levy love the content ♥️

Although I know you are super tired and that's the reason this video feels a little bit different from the usual, I have to say it has been one of my favorites. I actually just got the e4 course (thank you for the code btw) hoping that it will be something like this. All the best, cheers.

37:33 what if after h4 you played hxg4 and after takes then Rxh8. There is Qe3 somewhere down the line, just wanna know what you think

PMChess I thought the same thing. You’d be up a bishop and two rooks for a queen and white would have a good attack on the king.

I thought the same thing: it looks like 2 rooks and a bishop for a queen. Both Qe3 and Qf2 seems annoying though.

@@parabolaaaaa4919 If Ne3, I castle long and feel fine. I think the only way black can compensate is to keep pressure. You can't move the knight back in a passive position, leaving the queen as the only attacker.

Hope you're feeling better man! The timing's so weird... I'm studying for my medical board exams and also related to your post about exhaustion and mood. I think it's also all this social distancing affecting our moods. We're in the same boat, things will get better!
