“You have to give love to get love”.And we can not live without love. Being loved gives us a sense of self. Without that most of us suffer greatly.I believe that is one of the reasons we love our children so much is that we have to give so much without expected anything back. We have to settle for doing “the right thing “ until they mature. We must let the Lord direct us when there seems to be no open doors.

Revelation of this spiritual reality (coming from Swedenborg, via your wonderful videos) has changed my life! I am kind of dumbstruck at how I somehow 'believed' all of this, before, on one level...yet failed to believe it enough for it to make a difference in my daily operations. I spent years 'owning' these negative feelings, and trying to find ways - on my own - to get away from them. Truly believing that God is actually interested, and willing, to guide me in this spiritual warfare - and believing that there really is a higher purpose to our existence - makes all the difference.
@offTheLeftEye5 жыл бұрын
This means so much to us, Shanna! We especially love it when the ideas from Swedenborg's books feel like something a person has believed all along in the deeper regions of the heart. Yes, what a profound realization, that God deeply cares about each one of us, and every step of our journey!

Another great show Curtis. I loved the reference to Section 1812. This section and 1813 support the notion expressed in Hebrews 5:8-9 which states “ though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered (the internal battles referred to); And being made perfect he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey a him.” I love the phrase “made perfect” which suggests he walked the path he wants us to walk since he now commands us “be he therefore perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect. Matt. 5:48. He is our example and we are to follow him and win the battles also. I love the seven promises in Rev. chapters 2 and 3 promised to “him that overcometh”

I l😍ve this, although I’m a little bit pleased I listened to it, ‘after’, I made my final comment to the bullies who were bullying me relentlessly for over two weeks ~ I would always come back to this deep place of solid love for everybody but as I admitted on my last comment to the bullies, I wasn’t ashamed to admit they did their job and managed, despite my best efforts, to drive me off the site. However, it was more because I am simply unable to be on a site where I have to effectively be on the look out and to avoid all comments made by them and their entourage, because to me, that is not acting from a place of love, and this video message kind of confirms that and although my autism support worker thought I shouldn’t back down to them, she could see that the environment was more toxic than was good for me. So I’m happy I had my final say because in a way I got to have the last word and it wasn’t malicious or anything and I’ve been able to walk away with my heart, mind and soul intact, although from now on, I will endeavour to engage in spiritual warfare all the way ✌🏼thank you, as always. p.s. I restarted this video so many times last night, as I kept falling asleep that I actually dreamed about you last night ☺️ it was a cool dream ☺️

Would it be safe to say that the elevator pitch version of this (for a three floor elevator ride) is that winning spiritual warfare means trusting that the Lord will handle it if we let Him and that our relying on our own understanding or attempts to do it ourselves subverts that effort or just takes it harder on us?
@kathleendircks9075 жыл бұрын

I agree with Kathleen! There's a fantastic story in the Bible called "the Defeat at Ai". The walls of Jericho have crumbled, and the Israelites have just won a major victory-- only because they believed in the Lord's power to deliver them. So long as they followed Him, success would be ensured. Now, there was a minor outpost (Ai) that they faced next. Compared to Jericho, Ai was underwhelming! What happens next? The Israelites lose the battle! Everyone is baffled. It turns out that one of the Israelites stole from the Lord's treasury after Jericho was destroyed. Swedenborg clarified that this meant he took credit for what the Lord did. Therefore, all of their might was taken away, because an Israelite broke the system: we need to fight against evil/falsity within, but the real power comes from the Lord working with us. Just as the Israelites needed to show up at the walls of Jericho, but then rely on the Lord to provide the might. What do you think?
@kb8wfh5 жыл бұрын
2 Chronicles 20:17 New International Version (NIV) 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”

@@offTheLeftEye Thanks. There is another translation I like a little better (and I think is a little more Swedenborgian) but can not find it. It reads, "It is not your battle to fight." This does more than just let you know you are not going to have to fight it alone, but that it's not even your battle in the first place. It is not your battle to "helped out" with. It's truly first and foremost God's battle in the spiritual warfare and we need to let it be fought for us. Just my thoughts on it.

I was traversing some unknown territory in a place that was familiar. Strange? Well, let me explain... my environment is relatively similar to the one I have been observing for some time, although the interior design of this place shifts in dramatic ways. A 3 eyed serpent made itself known to me. This was interesting, because this creature knew so much about humans. It is within a Beings partaking of Reality to try and integrate patterns, but the creature had been a bane of humanity since the Dawn of time... it is pervasive, even now. The important thing to pay attention to in this case, is why it was seeking correspondence. Being as this is a magnificent creature, that dominates it's scope at various constructs of Being, it was drawn to try and understand itself through me. This is interesting, because this creature is within Nature as I understand it, and this reflects back to the observer of the Nature in question. Me. And so, an interesting weave of psychological warfare ensued, where I had to keep in mind this creatures Nature while trying to negotiate why it should allow me a more stable existence. Ultimately, we both agree, that it is far better to feed continuously through Evolving an understanding that transcends the limited kill or be killed. Instead of being a snack, or instead of viewing matter as transitory stepping stones, think of it's value within itself. As if it were immutable. Anyways, Eternal Life, not consistent consuming in the isolation of an impermanent feeling. The Void will always be as such, it is in a Voids Nature to be a Void. The serpent also has the understanding that it has a primary function to Be, and as such to Do... but the misalignment is that it attempts sustenance at any cost, this cost is ultimately Death, but not before the loneliness that precedes. The snake is learning Empathy, at the cost of it's predatory Nature, but also because it is being taught by creatures versed in Empathy, it is not viable for the snake to endure it's mentality of Dominance as a negative attribute of it's Being. Ignorance was necessary to focus on it's ability to adapt, and grow, and Be... the Grace of it's new understanding for Wisdom, is that it is not punishment, and it helps both parties survive. There is so much to learn from Nature, the serpent is ancient, with the spiritual understanding it undertakes with the human Spirit, I am an optimist in believing it can become Divine. I hope that the dark recesses of my mind can be put to ease from the slight paranoia of understanding this creatures initial Nature...
@gardenboundbylove21935 жыл бұрын
......after more deliberation, I have come to find a parallel idea in which to put my mind at ease. A thing has within it's foundation, the function of Truth. The slice of corresponding Reality that allows it residence within a conscious entities current perception. Not all of Reality reflects the observer in any self-evident way, this lie (Daemon) would seek to propagate the understanding that: 'it is all you, embrace it.' Do not identify with what you feel in your Heart is not True, or ordered in a way where Reality can truly flourish. The lie, that your beliefs manifest your Reality, is only True insofar as you believe you are Truth outside of a System with infinite Progression. This Being is Dead, as the dead meet their end... in this case, the end would be it's 'pinnacle' of understanding... I digress, the serpent may be trusted, through its understanding of me.

I have a question.. lately I’ve been dealing what seems like “trying to make something of myself”. I just hit 30 years old and feel like I’ve been sleeping the last 10 years. Part of this anxiety is from an ego type of ‘human competition’; But mainly I feel like there is pressure on me to be something in society. It’s not that I want it this way- to be better than other people, but I feel the move to be more than what I already am (which currently is insufficient to the gifts I’ve been given). I just don’t want to let God and the human race down by not making the most out of my gift of life. My question is why is this keeping me so grounded on a material level? I find myself in angst all the time because I have high expectations for myself. Does God not want us to have high expectations? It’s not always about competing, it’s about coming to par with being a part of his creation which is being useful and I don’t cut it. I feel so useless and that’s what’s holding me down not that I think I should be better but that I’m not even enough (I know this is dark clouds I carry but they are right sometimes). Is this still motivated from a place where I’m not feeling compassion for other people? Why do I feel like the gift of life comes with a price to match up to something? Before I felt like this, I was a free child enjoying and being grateful for just existing and now I’m not happy with myself at all. Is it possible we can take the path of self-love in the opposite direction and create self-hate?
@offTheLeftEye5 жыл бұрын
Erika, did anything in particular happen that caused you to shift from being "a free child enjoying and being grateful for just existing" and the anxiety that you now feel? Or did your feelings just change as you got older? I was wondering if you had gotten messages during childhood of not being good enough, or not measuring up, but if you describe feeling content during childhood, then I guess that's not the issue. What have you noticed about when and why these feelings started to change to anxiety about not measuring up? Did you encounter pressures in adulthood that left you feeling inadequate, or like you are supposed to be doing more?

These demons get more and more powerful through the generations. Now it’s with me and I’m fighting this demon everyday hoping I do not pass the demon to my son. These genetic traits that are passed down gain actual personas? Like the voice in my head is an actual spirit that’s been bugging me? This demon has a face and it started haunting me when I was a teenager. Perhaps even before. I think it actually started when I was younger browsing the internet. There is evil on the internet. I find it an interesting coincidence that the quote from Mark 10:35-45 is used here, since I was recently looking at a discourse online about the views of Jesus & Emanual Swedenborg on the subject of slavery. Certainly all of the disciples were imprisoned & or put to death for their preaching that Jesus is The Messiah. Though I believe the mention of slavery in the context of Mark 10:44-45 is about attitude, & the willingness to serve without thought of reward, or comparison to others. I don't believe The Lord, or Swedenborg would approve of the idea of slavery, because it removes freedom & the rights of others.

My question is .. if someone who always disturb us mentally, and so much annoying and stop us from not showing our love to our love-ones..how we supposed to manage this kind of situation without angry at the person and the same time not avoid the person who always crossing their borderline ? Any solution?
@offTheLeftEye5 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a tough situation! It can help to think of that person as "captured" by negative spirits when they act that way, which can help you not feel so angry at them. But then you do have to take practical steps to not just allow harmful behavior to keep on happening. How to do this totally depends upon the person and the situation, but it's good to confront bad behavior, if possible, for the person's own sake as well as for your own. "Confronting" can simply mean letting the person know what harm their behavior is doing. But always remember that behaviors are not who the person is. They have a whole background that led to that behavior. For ideas about how to deal with people without anger, see our episode "3 Simple Ways to Love Everyone" kzbin.info/www/bejne/pp2apGuhnrGlnqc For thoughts about how to love in different situations (which can include "tough love" like confronting behavior) see our episode "How to Love" kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2LZfaV8YqeYfbs

@gardenboundbylove21935 жыл бұрын
Non-happiness emotes... are essential!!! How else would you know how pain is to effect you, in the absence of another logic. A response to being forth into consciousness a concern, something to pay attention to. A reason to act. is it /// trying ^to effect- you? This is important to^ know, because the icy rings have in their center a small valuable target. Behind those watery orbs, that are white surrounding the cold rings, within the domain of a bubbling cesspool, is the idea that innocence is to be subverted, as it will be saved by it's own mis-comprehension. This creature will do what it can do survive, it will even try and adapt out of an anxious knowing that it's air supply is being cut short. The clear-blue ice is turning grey, and the temperature is increasing, and tempo is getting faster. I can hear the rhythmic beat, pounding, it will shout and deflect-off the walls, saying, 'That is me! {No}this is me! No! No! You!' It is dying, the heat of the Sun is too+much, the innocent walk in the-Light of Day, the cave is cold, and even the most naive knows not to tread into the Chaos. That dark, dark cave into Chaos,**where it feels*** hidden...

The Grace of the Void's external embrace The outer limits of infinite potential. Raw, unlimited, except by the Eye. This is the Eye of the Beholder The Seer, assuming it's own autonomy The Bull huffs, stares, and remembers Remembers the pain of separation It is not fooled, knowing Truth leads. A fool would assume otherwise, for.. an assumption that regards something outside of an alignment from which to adhere, is an assumption that is an assumption about what an assumption could be, if it were but an assumption about that which cannot be assumed. In other words, one cannot assume, from which there is no premise to assume. God is, nothing else, no need to worry about this or that, but that the proper messages are being sent. If anything is said that contradicts the will of The Lord, or Truth as it exists in it's impossibly myriad function/s. There is no credit, except for the credit that belongs to that which is True, that which manifests the Good, the will of a Being reflecting it's understood Love of self. This Love of self, allows for the spreading out of it's warm comfort, it's reciprocated Love of all that it blankets. Words to bring the misery out of ones mind, through practical/pragmatic understanding, the understanding that God is within all of us. This is our given attribute of Being, and inseparable from us, as the knowing/er, is Supreme. Reality is an amalgam of operating perception, from the first conscious act, resonating out... stretching out, getting to know itself... allowing God in, allows this mission of self actualization to be a success. You are real, as God is real, and as such, the connection allows for a more proper understanding of what is real. Be real, let God be even more real! Know thyself, observe Truth... and through this, one comes to know God, and the operations whence. God is so powerful... you wouldn't believe this, but God is soo powerful... even serpents dance and bow to Him.

-it is to be noted, that when I say, 'let God be even more real,' it is assumed one knows I am speaking of the perception, and corresponding observation of the ensuing thought patterns, that give Life to the Love. The understanding we all seek.

Not at all, killmeister. What we're saying is that those negative thoughts and feelings that plague all of us come from negative spirits around us, just like negative symptoms in the body are a result of germs and toxins around us. Knowing this can be really empowering for not being controlled by thoughts and feelings that are upsetting and debilitating. Take a look at an earthly speech Curtis gave called "Head Bullies"" kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5qWoqKveaaqldE kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpOcYod-eq6jiKM And "Your Brain is Spamming You" kzbin.info/www/bejne/paXToZSjotqXhKc And then see what Emanuel Swedenborg learned about where this negativity comes from and how we can be empowered against it. @@offTheLeftEye "Head Bullies" had nothing to do with anything, "The Lies Evil Spirits Tell Us" was exactly my point, "How to Deal With Evil Spirits" contradicts "Your Brain Is Spamming You", and "Your Brain Is Spamming You" had nothing to do with demons.
