Do not wind line onto a spinning reel like that, it just causes heaps of twist in the line. Take the line off the spool sideways, with the twist matching the turn of the rotor. Try it with a few metres of mono to work it out. Spent years working in a pro tackle shop,spooling thousands of reels

idk about that. thats usually if you have the spool of line upside down and put it on.. most shops will do this same method. just with different tools. it mainly twists or doesnt because you arent taking it off the spool like this straight method. you are pulling it up which makes it twist if its sitting on floor and going on the reel the wrong way.. also the pressure it puts on is important too. helps keep it tight on the reel. its legit. also if you ever get twist just throw on a swivel do a leader with a weight only and cast it as far as you can reel in it will take out a lot of that twist.. even better if you are on boat just let all the line out the back of boat when driving and reel it all back in and it will take out twist. just a couple methods to help with twist if you ever get it. though this wont do that.

It's a nice gadget for putting a line on a 'CONVENTIONAL' reel, but not for a 'SPINNING' reel as it puts aTWIST on the line!!! If you try and cast your SPINNING reel after you fill it with this gadget ...the twist on the line may cause you problems when you cast!!! BAD IDEA FOR A SPINNING REEL!!!
