Hey I just picked up a 1947 Willy's CJ2A. It doesn't have an oil filter, do you suggest putting one in or should I just change the oil every 3000 miles?

Update- I finished the wiring with harbor freight trailer parts, replaced the high beam switch headlights, high beams brake and tail lights, turn signals all work. got a horn from a 90s GM and installed electric wipers to pass a sheriff inspection.. This jeep is now tagged, registered, insured and back on the road!

hello Im curiuse to know can 6 and 12v baterrys be wired in series or parrarel configuration or capacitor banks ? I mean how to prevent alternator to work normaly . When ever I use capacitors me starting charge rpm gets swaped around . For exampel if I use hv ceramic capacitors the rpm from 1000rpm goes up to 2500-3000 rpm range can some thing be done to that ground baterry potential problem? Me alternator is the old Delco 12si

That diagram is wrong, ballast resistors are for running a 6v coil on a 12v system. The ignition feed bypasses the resistor to feed 12v to the coil on crank... then back to 6v to run.

I've seen them on both 6v and 12V Jeeps. I personally don't even bother with those, right in the trash, and get an internally resisted coil.
