Great demo Phil. How would you wire two 3 wire bilge pumps to a single switch? Thank You

Good demonstration about wiring Phil! However, I got dissapointed to see that the pump got activated after the water level reached over 3 inches of water... ):. Not good for my boat.

You can use the pump's manual feature to start pumping water out before the float switch is activated.

I have a 2008 Yamaha Waverunner with Rule 500 GPH automatic bilge pump. May I add this switch to add a manual running option of the bilge pumps when the ski is not running?

We believe this switch is compatible, but please check the instructions of your Rule pump first.

On a auto pump like this, can you run the power and ground to a fuse box instead of an inline fuse?
@SeachoiceProducts3 жыл бұрын
Should be able to. This is a direct current (DC) electrical system. As long as the fuse box is compatible with the voltage and amperage required by the pump, wiring grounding wire through a fuse box should work just fine.

@@SeachoiceProducts would you suggest wiring right to the battery or power source or to the fuse box?
@Prairiedogma2 жыл бұрын
@@jedg9627 It depends on the application. Boats left in the water unattended often have the bilge pump power coming directly from the battery, so that power to all the other services can be switched off when the boat is unattended without losing the bilge pump.

How would you wire it direct to a battery with no switch?

Installation w/o a panel switch is a little too lengthy to explain here. Please refer to the bilge pump manual: www.seachoice.com/pdf/19341_AUTO%20BILGE%20PUMP.pdf

Not very smart to use these switches. You need one with a confirming light or sound to know if bilgepump actually pumps.

Luckily mine I can hear it pump (and sadly discharge ) when manually pushed. But you’re right can be hard to hear one running in certain boats and I’ve accidentally left one on once and went home from the marina. There is another device called a bilge pump counter you can wire that keeps track of activations so you know when you come to your boat how many times it went off
