Good stuff....Well done Danny, it getys easier the more you do...and you seem to have a very good teacher in Allen... Rough with the smoothe...Some jobs are labour intensive and others are easy and very educational...Stick with Danny. Some people I know treat thier apprentices like dogs...Allen seems like one of the good guys....Listen and learn...You cannot buy experience. In time Danny , you too may have a learner...remember how you were treated...pass on the skills. Thumbs up to the gaffer.

Safe isolation and making double sure is critical! I was fault finding a kitchen extractor last week and used my multimeter to prove dead. No volts read on the meter. Double checked it with a volt stick to find that it was actually live. Turns out my multimeter had become faulty! Always double check!

Hi Allen what size/specification of cable do you use when wiring up central heating controls? Is there a specific size/type of cable that should be used when wiring from fused spur to wiring centre and then associated controls?

Hello, you are giving very good technical information. I wish you would add the description feature with Turkish subtitles, I don't know English. I write this translation as an English translation on Google and throw it away. It would be greatly appreciated if you add the Turkish subtitle option to your videos

Hello Mr sparky on the drawing is amazing, very neat. Hiwever the valves had permanent lives and the clock control sends the neutral as a return, usually we use a switch live as the return and connect the neutral directly. Is it just a typo or is it the standard for this type of installation

Allen when your checking the dead test between live and earth(cpc) for the safe isolation your really checking that you have the correct polarity. If live and neutral where reversed the test between live and earth would show 0v this is because the neutral and earth are at the same potential. However as an Electrician using a multi meter is not permitted We use what’s called a Proving Kit. To test for dead connections. We test between: Live & Neutral Live & Earth Neutral & Earth The kit consists of a voltage tester and the square block is a called the proving unit eg a known working voltage, you use the proving unit to test to see if the voltage tester is working ok before you do the dead testing. At the end of the testing use the proving unit again to check the voltage tester is still ok. You do this procedure every time you use the voltage tester. There are many voltage tester available here is a example below. isswww.co.uk/fluke-t90-two-pole-tester-fluke-prv240-proving-unit-iss-carry-case?gclid=CjwKCAiAu9vwBRAEEiwAzvjq-7kG4EHfkrpE1O2DXqq2NTcuKnlwDNzRg7h5f8msQ9Tx3RfS0gAA4RoC3U0QAvD_BwE
