I have to say that these are the best industrial electrical videos on You Tube. I recently started working with Siemens PLC's and did not know that the four digits above the part number is actually included.. I also liked the keyboard short cut to search the PDF. Great Job!

I did not know that PLC has 2 types of front connector (20 & 40 pins) and you should read the manual for PLC in order to wire it.That was an excellent video and keep on releasing others

I love these videos. I currently teach a digital microprocessors class for the navy and I have an entire weeklong segment on plc. Seeing these helps me to teach my students, and I’m hoping to be a controls system engineer when I get out. I feel like this is an extra source of knowledge that wouldn’t be available otherwise. The videos are done so well with detail, and actual components. I watch these on a daily basis now

Instead of looking for the module manual you can also just check the front door. it clearly shows where to connect the power and sensor input. P.S.: cut the cable ties properly, these things can hurt :)

At 4:39 I still couldn't tell from the schematic where to wire the neutral . 10, 11 and 20 you say for neutral, if you look closer you see 10 has a plus sign, does that not mean positive? Still enjoying all the videos you provide thank you.

These sensors operate on DC voltage. There is a +24VDC terminal and several COM (common, or ground) terminals. Terminal 1 is supplied +24VDC, and terminals 10, 11, and 20 can be connected to common (ground).The 24VDC power supply and the PLC card should both be connected to the same ground potential. Terminal 10 can be wired as a positive compensator (hence, COMP+) if you are using external compensation for differences in common potentials. This is not usually required.

There are some different installing two wire device and 4 wire device. Always using manual to know where the location input output number are. The PLC system used to have channel for power source 24+ and 24- voltage near position channel input output.
