I thought that Shindo was supposed to Ringo's opposite when I watched the series because they both represent as aspect of the core of their respective partners. Ringo is kind and empathetic to a fault, which represents Mizu's heart which she tries to keep buried to keep buried so that her weakness will never be taken advantage of again, but the thing is that Ringo always follows her and saves her even when it's against his better judgement. While Shindo represents Fowler's greed, where Mizu tries to distance herself from Ringo, Shindo is almost always around Fowler as the two work together to slither up the ranks. Another reason I thought that Shindo is Fowler's Ringo, is because they both are physical opposites of their masters but their design has a similar element of who they are as people. Mizu thinks she's disabled because she's mixed while Ringo has no hands, Fowler dresses like a poet or a painter while Shindo wears a professional kimono.

That… is an insanely good point. Ringo is Mizo’s call for her Inner Need and Haiji is a physical manifestation of Fowler’s corrupted inner morals. Man, these writers are good!

Honestly? I adore Heiji Shindo. He's a disgusting character, but every second he is on screen is insanely entertaning, same with Fowler. Honestly, it's the same with almost all the big characters in the show, except Akemi... whose start isn't the most interesting, but the highs her scenes hit as a result of that buildup make them worth it. Still, Heiji is just a real standout for me. I think it's mainly the pragmatism and the delivery.

Heiji is an awesome villain. He’s probably one of the few purely detestable villains I can think of over the past decade, but I couldn’t figure out how he worked in the story for the longest time. He didn’t have a backstory; no reason to empathize with him; he even hated his situation for being associated with Fowler. He is unique in that he doesn’t have a lot of normal character attributes and yet he enhances the story a hell of a lot.

It's crazy to think that we have Randall Park, one of the funniest comedians of the past few years, play such a serious and horrendous excuse for a human being

Hey I saw on another vid of yours a comment suggest an aot vid idea about hype moments. That would be so dope to see you talk about. Could you make an Aot video on how to make great cliffhangers? I think that would be a fantastic topic. Aot really really excels with its cliffhangers, like every episode

Working on a script for writing endings using AOT. But then Cliff hangers would be a good one to follow up with.
