That mask reminds me of the equally creepy Jawbreaker Bivouac vinyl sleeve... All their classic albums have a number of corkers, but Heaven Up Here has got to be Bunnymen at their post-punk peak. "Over The Wall" being the centrepiece of that Side-A suite, nearly six minutes of building tension, hard to look past it for a favourite Bunnymen song

I'm going to be critical for the first time. This tells you how to write a Killing Moon parody, so covers one song from one album. If you want the Bunnymen sound then you can start with Will Sergeant twangy riff, circular bassline and drumming, then Macca interjecting with fast strumming for a few bars. Vocals veer from breathy cool in the verses to wailing during the chorus (and then both during the fade out).

Nice, though I’d argue that only really works for Killing Moon variants. Favourite Bunnymen track changes a lot but I adore “No Dark Things”, I love the choppy go for it Tele stabs, the general dynamics of it and that ending where they just ramp up the delay/echo and you get a wall of overlapping “No dark dark dark…” vocal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIrchqNvfs6gbq8

Yeah I was a bit disappointed he just rehashed killing moon , I was hoping he was gonna do the atmospheric post punk side to bunnymen Killing moon was 4 albums in and they had already established their 2 pre dominant sounds before the so called peak ' ocean rain ' album came along which is great but not that great

Yeah man those 2 albums are my favourite and can never pick one over the other as the better album . What I love most about porcupine is that 75% of album is in key of D major giving that Indian raga drone effect that feels comforting to listen to , makes sense as a few guitar riffs are from more eastern scales as well. It's more tastefully done than the pretentious Wankers The Beatles who acted like they had a profound experience in India so went all Trippy and Rishikesh on us

It's hard to say one song because the triptique Crocodile, Heaven up There and Porcupine are 3 master Class like Seventeen second, Faith and pornography or Boy, October, War or Kaleidoscope, juju, a kiss in a dream house or Empire and dance, sons and facination, Sister Feeling Call... All My Color m'a bien secoué mais tout est trop bon sur Heaven Up Here, Monkeys (Crocodiles), Gods will be gods (Porcupine). Thank for you're video and all the other one. So Brillant.
