Good video. For me EZdrummer has been a life changer. Being able to quickly lay down drum parts saves so much time and adds inspiration. The part doesn’t need to be perfect. Just the base and then it’s way less to edit. When you’re searching through parts I often finds things that are great I didn’t even think of. Couldn’t live without it at this point.

Awesome video, I do a lot of the same things when writing, and EZDrummer has been a game changer. The one little thing you shared, about writing something that’s hard for you to play, that right there is the best advice you could give someone. Doing exactly that has accelerated my playing faster than anything else by far.

@TaylorDanley2 ай бұрын
I think I was just using the Andy Sneap kit that's stock... But I may have loaded the one I made with the Death kit from the Death and Darkness SDX, I'm not sure. That's what is on all my releases.

Hi mate, i really like you work you doing here, i've got one request, could you test a Peavey Ultra amp? A very underrated amplifier form the pre-5150 era. Three channels, reverb, works great with TS9 or similar pedals. I know it's hard to get, but it's very worth it.

The noodling around method doesn't work for me unfortunatly. I need a very concert concept what I want to write. Like "I want a similar song like X song from Y band". Ofcourse the outcome is pretty different, but still can hear the influences.
@TaylorDanley2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I try to cover different methods, because it's for sure going to vary person to person. I alternate between different methods for getting riffs out. Sometimes I'll just use like a midi piano pack and then write to that also!
@akosbrett25642 ай бұрын
@@TaylorDanley Yeah. It's probably because I've only wrote a few songs. But I also plan to mix it up in the future. But everyone should avoid writing generic riffs just for fillers. I love when I hear the "idea" behind a riff or a song.
@wilkinsi2 ай бұрын
love those drum riffs/patterns. Do I get all these MIDI libraries included in Superior Drummer 3? If not, what's the best place to get them? Can I get it in AU or is it VST only?

Hey Taylor ! Quick question, I got this Jackson this week and it's amazing, but it's very noisy when I play it in Archetype Nolly. I thought it was a grounding problem but when I plug into my practice amp there doesn't seem to be a problem. If I switch off the "Inst" button on my Scarlett Solo, the noise goes away. Where could this come from ?
@TaylorDanley2 ай бұрын
No idea. If it goes away when you switch of insturment, just check your levels to see if you are over loading the input. Could just be that your guitar has a really hot output or something.
@iduncanwАй бұрын
Typically when using the instrument button you should have the gain on the interface set to 0. I do this with my Minifuse and it works great. Also check the audio settings that you're using ASIO and the Scarlet driver installed.
