Nice video! It would be nice to have a visible progress bar for sections.

What do you do if one of the items is within two categories? say an act that falls into Fun+family ..... or relationship+finance?

I couldn't find the new years resolution program on my app, is it gone because it's too late? I hope not because I really wanted to write something there but I was pretty busy.

This is gold, thanks. A better system would be a link from goals to tasks. Resolutions aren't always about 'doing things', but an end state which might be reached by multiple options. In execution, people should realise that there is no such thing as failure, only giving up. A break or a pause is not reason to stop. PS How did the format of the headings get a green background? Is that markdown? Can the folder or list names have background or text colours?

Replying as a TickTick user: > How did the format of the headings get a green background? You either add two colon ("::") at the beginning and at the end of the highlighted text, or use the "Text Format" toolbar (bottom right of the task details area) where the Highlighter lives. > Can the folder or list names have background or text colours? Don't think it's possible in TickTick today.

I agree with the first bit! I use Asana at work, and goals are an entirely separate part of the UI, in which you can link individual tasks or entire projects to a single goal. In TickTick, I'm setting up the same system as shown in the video, but using a parent + child tags instead of a list + sections. This way, I can identify tasks that meet multiple goals or sit in another list. Long story short, it'd be great if goals in TickTick had a dedicated UI. You could even link habits to them!

How do I make a progress bar for a task/goal? For example, I'm reading an 800-page book and so that I can clearly see what percentage(or any value) has been read? I would manually enter the number of pages.Only checkboxes?

@@manushetgar I know for this, this option is not very accurate and convenient. I would like a full-fledged progress bar with different values and more visual

So you're gonna go out with friends every month, but date night only quarterly?? Clearly you haven't thought this through!!

😂😂😂 I had to pause and double take at that because what 😭

Haha, I might not have explained it well earlier, so let me clear it up. With work, I don’t get to see friends as much, so a monthly meal helps us stay connected. As for my partner, we’re together every day and have little dates here and there. But the ‘quarterly romantic dates’ are more about big, special plans-something that takes time to prepare, not just a quick dinner. The idea is to have something special each quarter to keep things fresh between us.

@GetTickTick Good recovery, I was wrong! Partners can be demanding but best be proactive. Happy wife, happy life - said somebody...
