I'm the opposite. I'm trying to convert all my ballpoint pens to black gel ink or I retire them. For me, gel ink is much more effortless to write with, and I like the solid, dark, bold ink line. That's what makes the pen hobby interesting though!

I'm with you there. Ball point is not my favorite. Pilot precise v5 is my favorite, but this 750 gel was pretty nice too. My issue is 4th day of regular use it began leaking like crazy. Have you any suggestions for refills for this pen by chance?

@@waywardformations5227 I've moved on from this pen. While great, zebra offers a better option. The Sarasa Grand and it's ink refills. Have one in every color option. Great weight and smooth writing with bold ink.

I bought the G-750 recently (really love the weight on it) and while the gel insert is Ok (a little wet for my tastes) I found your recommended refill way, way better. Thank you, sir!

Definitely wish there were more options for this pen, but my biggest complaint surprisingly is the clip. I love the look of the clip...but even getting it onto a shirt pocket seems harder than it needs to be.

The g750 has been my edc pen for a few months now and I love it, only wish the threads weren’t plastic. Was using a uni power tank but for some reason my inserts kept drying out, I bought 3 from jet pens and they all acted the same which was a shame because I had high hopes for that pen.

Thanks for another great hack video. Over the years, your videos have helped me a great deal. Thank you. I do, however, have a problem with my Zebra G-750. For some unbeknownst reason, the button or knock has become almost "spongy" 🤔. It still clicks, but it has to be pushed almost down into the top of the pen to both extract and retract the point. Have you encountered this problem, or have you heard of it? If so, do you have any repair or hack suggestions for it, please. Please, anyone can answer. Thanks. Btw, I like the newer Zebra gel-ink. So I bought 6 refills for a good price on eBay, but in the fine point. I like this pen because it fits perfectly in my diabetic carry kit. I have to make at least 3-4 notations a day in my blood glucose management log, and this pens works great, except for the knock issue. I can still use it, but I have to be conscientious to depress it way down for it to work. Any advice out there?

My G-750 run out pretty quick so I use the extra refill that come with the X-701 and works great plus you can write any surface thank to the "pressurized barrel"

I am a big fan of the Acroball refills, as they are fairly thin and can be used to replace a lot of oddball-sized refills. They can even be used to replace Parker G2 metal refills in many (but not all) pens that use the Parker G2.

Good way to improve the ink on the G750, had a few Pilot Acro 1.0 pens lying around, shortened the refill and found a longer spring in my pen drawer, it worked perfectly. Also your older video shows ink improvements for the 701, the plastic body Parker style refills from Itoya and Ohto work well in the 701. The plastic cone in the tip of the 701 has to be enlarged a bit, easy to do, and the plastic on the top end of the refill removed, also very easy. I prefer the Ohto refill in 1.0, seems to be a low viscosity ink.

I love the 750 and 450 but I cannot ever find any refills, I always find myself using the G-301 ink refills usually have to just buy the 301s, same with the Zebra Sarasa I have to buy either the 350 or even the Zebra Blend to use their inks.

Instead of stretching the spring, if you have a second spring could you put to springs on it?

The all metal 701 refill works great as well. It is a ball point, but the ink is very good. Not sure if it is a hybrid ink or not. I have only seen it in black ink as well. Smooth writer.

TY for your research and love of pens/inks. I am a fan of dark brown ink. My preference is the uniball Signo 207 Brown Black ink. I need to find a more elegant pen body that will use this refill. Keep up the good work.

Question: I have 2 of the G-450 pens, but the buttons on both occasionally get stuck in the down position. I can pop it back out by lightly pushing my fingernail into the space between the (flush) button and the barrel cap. Happens sometimes with my G750 too, so it doesn’t appear to be a fluke. Does this happen with yours?

The G750 broke in half after 2 months because of its inner cheap plastic construction. Now, I see that a lot of people are complaining about this issue on Amazon

Respectfully disagree. I think the ‘wet’ 0.7 gel refill is wonderful, and incentivizes me to write more words. YMMV, of course
