That Iranian saffron one at the end is a staple ice cream in Iran. It is usually served with chunks of white cream on top, and called “Bastani Sonati”. It can also be served with “Faloodeh” which is a frozen noodles and syrup. Very yummy. Just remember: - Bananas are white and become gray, non yellow. So real banana gelato is white/grey, not yellow - strawberries are red, not pink. So real strawberry gelato is red, not pink. - pistacchi have green inside but have brown parts too... so real pistacchio gelato tends to be brown, absolutely not that shiny green.. And so on... That's how to recognize a good gelateria.
@chrisel43493 жыл бұрын
I don’t know about banana ice cream. Yes, definitely not yellow like the peel lol. But may be cream colored if they’ve used something to retain the color. If not, then maybe brown, but it is frozen which also helps to preserve the color. Strawberries blended with white milk/cream will give you pink. But some will use dyes, but if you’re familiar with the natural pink, the dye should be easy to spot. Pistachio ice cream should be mostly cream colored from the ice cream, as the pistachios and their color don’t really “bleed” into or infuse the cream. Maybe flecks of green from the bits of pistachio. But yes, definitely not uniformly neon green.
@doctordoom023 жыл бұрын
@@chrisel4349 - banana stays pale gray - strawberriy has to be red because in a proper strawberry gelato you do not use milk or cream in it. Real pistacchio gelato is simply brown. Not a dark one, obviously, but brown. I'm talking about real gelato from a guy which never ever use other ingredients but the real ones. Even MINT, he doesn't do it often because that would need a lot of work to extract the "oil" from the leaves. Real mint leaves. That's how real gelato is made.

Yes but most people shopping for ice cream/gelato don’t know this so if you were an ice cream/gelato company, would you leave your banana flavour as grey or white? @doctordoom023 жыл бұрын
@@thelambsaucee gelaterie and gelato companies are not the same. When I buy a "factory" ice cream I expect fake colors and poor taste. When I go in gelateria for a real gelato, I want a real and good one, and that's the kind of gelato we're talkin about.

That one at the end with Iranian saffron is basically Persian traditional ice cream which is made from milk , saffron, pistachios, cream and the ice cream agent which I can't remember the name . Its taste is divine.

Is the ice cream agent mastic? It’s the resin that gives Persian ice cream the signature stretchiness no?

I made saffron gelato in my kitchen a few months ago and it was amazing, but it was my first try. I can only imagine how much more amazing this must be after years of practice with a special machine. Grazie mille for sharing this video! I hope to visit someday. It looks amazing.

@@lenase7396 Well, this time they are right, Emilia Romagna is the most important area for food in Italy, for production and for the industry. That's simply a fact. They have the highest number of doc and dop products in the world, not mentioning eggpasta, tortellini, lasagne, tagliatelle, parmigiano reggiano, mortadella, prosciutto cotto and so on and on..They have the biggest food chain in Europe and the largest industry of food related machinery. Who think the contrary is just a campanilistic ignorant.

As a Filipino, watching this makes me proud of our country bacause they use raw materials (Cacao beans) from the Philippines 😊
@DonnieDuck022 жыл бұрын
You have every right to be pride of Philippines 🔥
@astrolillo2 жыл бұрын
@@DonnieDuck02 Why? He did nothing for the production of those beans (readily available from many countries btw), the tradition, branding, recipe, sales and prestige are all Italian. This just feels like an unhealthy hungry to feel recognized by European countries, a self-inflected neo-colonialism, sadly very common not just in the Philippines but in many other ex-colonies.
