I think there is a missconconception where some people think they are not blond beceause its common in sweden to be born blond but as you get older you get darker and darker hair. until you have like what we call it "rat-grey" or sometimes like for me it is actually brown. But I was totally blond as a child. These people should probably be called blond because that is how they started.

There's a thing that stuck me in Sweden, as a Portuguese. Being interrupted and to interrupt (insert regret face) a normal informal conversation is quite common in Portugal. However, that's not the case in Sweden. Especially Northern Sweden, they will let you talk and talk and they will only reply when you finish your point, after waiting some seconds, just to make sure you really ended speaking. This is really interesting in my opinion.

I think it makes for a better exchange and leaves others feeling happier and more satisfied with an exchange. Thank you.

As a Swede at this point I'm not sure if any of these stereotypes are accurate, maybe in foreigners' view but not the Swedes'. When you keep being told you are a certain way and you should feel a certain way about that behaviour, you internalise it and can't look at it objectively. Also I'm very annoyed by the Swedes who keep saying they are an exception from the stereotypes and that they dislike the current cultural social norms. They claim this but they actually behave the exact way as everyone else because they're afraid to even slightly stray away from the norm. Myself I'm struggling with the issue to make friends, but I realise best is to focus on changing my own behaviour and take a leap. Change does not happen without action.
