G-d, not Trump, made Jerusalem the capital of Israel! Trump starts on script but ends up saying something bizarre. Please take note when we hear him say : “I made Jerusalem the Capital of Israel”. (No Mr Trump, you did not!) This comment starts to crumble into extreme narcissism by the 3rd sentence, as he goes off-script with his exaggerated claims and references to himself. There he goes mixing himself up with G-d again! (He seems to want credit as if he were King Solomon, including for a still non-existent peace. In a related comment he says of his diplomatic efforts, “If it had been anyone else, they would have gotten a prize” It seems he wants the prize far more than the peace). (For the record it's worth mentioning that Biden was one of the original co-sponsors of the bill to Recognize Jerusalem as the capital and move the US embassy there. There was one proviso - it was proposed that it be done in a way, or at a time, it wouldn't be seen as provocation). Trump’s gold-plated name on an embassy building should not be enough to buy our trust nor endorsement. Especially as we have seen him fan the flames of mistrust between groups incessantly! He has contributed to a hostile climate. Trump says kings and presidents called to warn him there would be bloodshed but “there hasn't been any”. Has he not noticed the war?? I think he hasn't been paying any attention. - & Trump takes no responsibility at all for exacerbating tensions in the middle east. He hasn’t stopped comments that alternate between intimidation and absurd flattery, bullying both Jews and Muslims, (among his many targets), when they don't support his power schemes. He also desecrated the meaning of embassies by how he behaved and spoke following the infamous murder of Saudi-American journalist - Jamal Khashoggi, in the embassy in Istanbul, while he was in office. (In addition Trump has a record of bragging about a slew of embassies he’d wanted to create, including one in North Korea}. While it is reasonable, and standard practice actually, to have embassies in the cities that countries claim for their capitals, this is not the same as taking credit for "making Jerusalem the capital". Is this really the person you want at the helm of our country?
