Picked up one of these at Microcenter yesterday. 3DMark scores went from 10,200 or so with a 2070 Super, to just over 20,000. Quite happy with the upgrade. (Especially as someone who primarily games in 1080p anyway.)

@@CakeTopFrag To me it felt like a 'nice to have' but not a 'must have' upgrade. I didn't really appreciate it until I installed Starfield I think. I suspect I'd have to play that one on 'Low' settings with the 2070 Super. But for Valorant and all the other things I do, I never had any issues with the 2070 Super.

Ive been very impressed with my 4070ti. I have a Lenovo(msi) version. It came with my legion tower. Only paid 1200 for the whole system last year. The 4070ti has impressed me, even at 4k.

your incorrect about the 4070 Ti Super OC being AD104 its AD103 silicon as the RTX 4080. This change results in a 10% increase in CUDA cores compared to the original RTX 4070 Ti

Engine Clock If you go to the ASUS website and compare the two cards (OC and non OC), this is the difference: OC mode: 2760 MHz Default mode: 2730 MHz (Boost clock) OC mode: 2640 MHz Default mode: 2610 MHz (Boost clock) So, can you tell the difference in performance / gameplay? Maybe - maybe not. My guess is probably not and likely depends on the game. I do not have the non OC so I can't do an actual compare.

@@supremeleaderarmy9164 Those components would build a very nice system that would be good for many years. But it comes down to your budget and how much you son will use it. Western Digital is fine, but there are many alternatives. Mushkin, Kingston, SK Hynix, etc. I will be posting a system build video soon, so maybe that will help if you are new to system builds...

I have the exact same card and my temps go up to 73C while inside a case would of been nice to see temperatures while inside of a case since it's more realistic for a average user who would buy this card as a user will expect 3-4 degree jump inside of a case than on a test bed.

The chassis (where the PCB mounts) is a metal stamping. The front cover is an aluminum casting.

i had 3 different 4070ti trios here. build quality is okay, the cooler is awesome and i dare to say the best. 1100rpm, 65°. but coilwhine intensive. dont have any way of getting DBs on the whine, but i say, as loud as the fans would be at 1700rpm. can hear it out of the case, through the headphones. and it was the case with all 3 of them

Probably close to this size. The cooling solutions that the various manufacturers use are typically large for the 4080 and 4090, so these cards tend to be massive.

This comes with an adapter that connects to the PSU with only 8 pins, and that just doesnt sound right, and just about every single video on the internet of this card skips the part where you plug it in to the PSU and the manual says nothing. The 12600, 12700 (Alder Lake) or 13600, 13700 (Raptor Lake) are all good choices. CPU selection comes down to how you will use your system and what games you play. Assuming you are wanting something for gaming, I would go with what the game manufacturer recommends. Usually they will list a minimum requirement, and a recommended (upgrade) for best performance. Same for the GPU.

@@avia4281 I have not seen any of the AMD cards. If you have one that is running hot, you can use something like MSI Afterburner to check the fan curve and adjust the fan speeds to keep the card cool.

Mine has the red LED on. It turns off when the computer is running. If its in sleep mode or shut off however, the red LED comes back on. Is this normal?

i wanted to go with the msi cards. the cooler is insanely good. 1100rpm and 65°. nearly inaudible and very cool gpu temp. but all the 3 msi cards i had here, suffered from immens coilwhine, thats so loud, i can hear it through the case on the desk, through the headset. they all went back. since i found a list where people can post entries about the cards, theres like 19 4070ti trios, with 18of them having listed as coilwhine intensive. so iam done with msi. i can live with a little coilwhine but the truth is: from 2008 on, i had 7 different gpus. only 1 had some coilwhine and its bearable. but the msi 4070tis are like 5 times as loud as my old one. i can hear it from 6 meters away, while all the casefans, and basically just a silent wind noise at 650rpm. during covid, i skipped on the gpus due to prices and replaced almost every else, i finally wanted to have a silent system, that under gaming, stays cool without beeing audible with an openback headset. the cw destroys that and i dont get, why its so rampant this generation. i mean, getting 6 gpus without any coilwhine over the year and now 3 in a row, with intense coilwhine cant be a coincedence. aibs say "its normal" ye sure.. normal isnt: some have it, some dont. if something is normal, its there all the time, otherwise, its variance and those can be checked for, but they dont do that and if they dont, the only choice i have is oder, test and send back

Asus Tuf version is very quiet. I undervolted it and it runs 10% fan speed at 30c - 70c then jumps to 30% speed. It's insanely quiet and runs super cool. I haven't even noticed temps over 70c

i have tuf 4070ti oc, temps spike 75c-77c fans 2400-2700rpm almost %80 its so annoying noise, also hot spots 99-102c while gaming. Also have coil whine i dont know is it normal, its draw 260-270w and fans goes crazy

These Cards have great preformance but the cost is very high compared to previous generations. People are going buy consoles or play mobile games if these prices stay up there . RTX4090's in New Zealand start at $2999 and go up to $4599 NZ Dollar as of March 10 2023 RTX 4080 are $1899 to $2649 and RTX4070ti start at $1699 to $2199 so most people aren't going to buy them right now.

you didnt overclock that card asus is then shit zotac extreme aero 4070ti overclocks to 3000 + on core and 12300 + on memory the 4070ti really shines when you het 3000mhz core it really smooths out games makes a big difference at 2750mhz core is so mediocore zotac is really the mercedez benz of gpus
