My experience is that the harder it is to get somewhere, the nicer people are once you're there. I think it's mostly just being on object of interest, people come out to meet you and once you have that personal connection, it goes a long way. In places with mass tourism, visitors become objects of scorn, and people actively avoid meeting you. Most places fall somewhere in the middle.

I'm surprised you haven't been given a ton of dates yet. When I was in Algeria, we were literally given more dates than we managed to eat. I think we were given 8 kg of dates by different people in 3 days or so. The fresh dates were the best ones I have ever tasted. But the dried ones were not really that great. I have never been in a country where the people have been as hospitable as in Algeria.

Only in Algeria where I saw this. This is proof that we should not listen to the media, these bastards who defame all people who refuse to be oppressed. Algerians are real men, and Algerian women are real women. I have Algerian friends and they have always been there to help me without asking, unlike my compatriots. I think this is what we are missing in Western countries. This kindness, this benevolence, and selfless generosity. If the world had the qualities of the Algerian people, the world would be a better place. Best wishes. Strength and determination, as the Algerians say.

I am surprised about that. What kind of drugs are imported from Morocco? I know cannabis is grown in Morocco, but the climate in Algeria should be equally suited for that. So I don't see the need to take the risk of crossing borders with it. And I think cocaine is usually imported into Guinea Bissau, and then go from there to Europe. So again, I see no need for that to go through Morocco and into Algeria. It would be easier to take it from Mauritania. So which drugs are imported from Morocco into Algeria?
@Jackwis10 ай бұрын
@@Tjalve70all types of drugs but mostly Cannabis. We are talking here for Algerian consomation. You can't grow Cannabis in Algeria it's all illegal, you will go to prison if they find any drug on you. Meanwhile Morocco is the biggest producer of Cannabis and it's pretry much legal and very cheap there. You know there is kind of a cold war between Morocco and Algeria with the borders officially closed. So in Algeria we see the massive entry of drugs from there as something done on purpose to poison our youth. Like the "Opium wars" the UK did agaisnt China. There is also smuggling of Gasoline out of Algeria because it's cheap here so they can resell it there higher. Same thing happening at the Tunisian border.

Rad and Hakim just pure kind hearts and souls made me smile and fill my heart with joy. What great guys and I hope they can be there in Tunisia to celebrate as even though they have only been apart of the mission for a couple of weeks they have made such a big impact that will teach so many people the lesson of generosity and love.

#welcome_to_algeria 🇩🇿🤗 Algeria is one of the best tourist destination, you can find good food 🍝🧆, nice and friendly people 😊 gorgeous landscapes with nice weather and off course the rich history and tradions of each city 😊 PS: algeria is the biggest country in Africa so it's called the continent country,i recommend minimum 20 days to visit the 1/3 of it 😁

Its what i enjoy most about travelling with little planning to the lesser known parts of the world is the people who meet you along the way. Despite cultural differences also language barriers. It never fails to amaze me how kind wnd hospitable humanity can be.

I don't know if you guys have a plan for Nelly once the mission is over but if you don't my vote is 100% for offering it to hakim! What an absolute legend he and his mates are, so purely kind and generous ❤️ I'm sure he can find a use for Nelly providing she's still holding on!

The problem with that, is that it's illegal to import a car older than 3 years into Algeria. So even if Nelly is given to Hakim, he wouldn't be able to legally import it and register it in Algeria. There used to be a lot of import of older European cars into West Africa. But more and more countries have been closing that possibility. And I honestly don't know if any of the countries there will allow such import now.

Its mainly because Algeria have 100% of internet coverege on its territory, so the boys are taking advantage of that to keep us informed.
@Tjalve7010 ай бұрын
Well, when they were between Zouerat and the Algerian border, on the 850 km stretch without roads, there were no updates in 13 days. Now they are in civilization. There are towns at regular intervals. So it's not difficult to find somewhere with good connection in order to upload. The mobile internet in Algeria isn't very good. I had no problems uploading pictures when I was there, but I guess uploading a 20 minute video in 1080 would be too much to expect from the mobile internet.
@khaax3310 ай бұрын
@@Tjalve70 they improved the mobile and cable internet in the last recent years now it's not the best but it's not so bad anymore
@Tjalve7010 ай бұрын
@@khaax33 Ok. The mobile internet in Algeria wasn't horrible. If I remember right, it was about the same as in Mauritania. And MUCH better than on the piste from the Algerian border to Zouerat. Even when we camped just next to a mobile tower on that piste, the connection was VERY slow. But it's nice to hear that it has been improving. Edit: Come to think of it, I wasn't able to play Pokemon GO while I was in Algeria. And I think that was because the connection was very slow. So I think it was actually close to horrible.

Hakim and a Rad are everything this world is lacking! Stopping their normal lives to travel over 1600km to “help out” is beyond thoughtful. Most people don’t commit to even helping friends without thinking it through or asking questions. Everyone could do with friends like them. Amazing ❤
