@ChairForce Although much hyped in movies, guerrilla warfare has historically not played any major or decisive role. Civilians should not be involved. The moment you arm them, it degenerates into personal vendettas and puts them as well in risk of retaliation: the Spanish Civil War is a good example, like the Yugoslav conflict. Same as if you try to confront a a criminal with a gun, the chances are very high that you are going to get killed, unless you are a real expert.

But aside from that it's the same in the sense where taliban and militia forces are doing worse acts than the invading force.... sure Americans make mistakes in causalities and some soldiers have poor conduct or mercenaries representing American companies display poor conduct but unlike European countries invading we do our best to hold the government and there actions in other countries accountable with protest and certain media sources... not all news is truth but some news sources do risk there jobs to tell the truth to keep America as morally straight as possible.... Kyiv was founded in 482, while Moscow was founded in 1147.

'Cool' is probably one of the least appropriate words to describe what's shown here. You probably mean well but it's not cool when civilians feel they have to learn how to fight enemy troops in their neighbourhoods. If it genuinely came to that most of them will probably die. We're technically supposed to have access to firearms in order to express our Provision 7 Charter right which says we have the right to life, liberty and security of ourselves and be allowed to use as much force as is reasonably necessary as per the Criminal Code of Canada, but the government won't allow us to own firearms for personal and home protection, so therefor anyone with a gun or a knife will have the advantage over an unarmed person.

Several NATO countries have sent anti-tank/anti-air weapons. It's not the same as sending troops, but it'll help pinch Russia's air superiority and that's a good thing.

These civilians are the same people that in 2013 sat unarmed behind wooden barricades in front of soldiers firing rifles at them for months on end during the Euromaidan protests in Kiev. Many were killed. International stage did nothing. People underestimate how tough Ukrainians are. Probably the hardest people on the planet. Ukraine was invaded in 2014 when crimea was annexed. I don’t know why everyone is surprised this is happening.
