All is explained in the video. War require gambling, the main goal is to make the best bet. In this scenario they won western support and internal morale, had a medium pull of resources on the Russians a minor win on loss numbers. All in all it was a medium win, but it still requires restructure to profit from it. The point is to have a standing defense force of no more than half of the enemy, and loosing half of what the enemy looses. If that is archieved (and it seems to be), it is a win as the enemy must focus on recapure due to popular/national demand.

Russian Iskander range 499km, defined as a short-range missile. ATACMS range 300km defined as a long-range missile - where is the logic here?
Iskandr is a short-range ballistic missile system or SRBM. ATACMS is a Tactical missile system or Tactical ballistic missile, TBM for short. Tactical is the key definition here. TBMs have the range to influence the tactical or strategic level battle. Iskandr is closing in on the bridge between strategic to theatre level. Also Iskandr is double the size and yield of an ATACMS with a conventional warhead.

Tactically the UKR ruse that they were moving troops to the Kursk border to defend from a nonexistent incursion from Russia was also extremely smart. Because it played right into the Russian tactic of attacking the Sumy border to draw needed UKR troops away from the front where they were pushing towards Pokrovsk in order to dominate on that front. So they were essentially doing exactly what the Russian military wanted them to do by building up along the Kursk front, which thins out the front line power and moves it away from where the offensive was taking place at in order to counter a feint. And then the invasion worked spectacularly, so Russia had to draw away troops from where they wanted them to be in order to stop Ukrainian forces pushing in Kursk. It’s basically the Ukrainian military grabbing the barrel that’s pointing at them and turning the gun back around at Russia.

Are you serious? The Ukranians have made a colossal blunder, immediately surrounded and massacred they have failed every objective wasting men and resources instead of sending them to the front where they are about to collapse retreating every day faster and faster. The Russians have not moved anything from the front and have sent more troops, while the Ukranians have no more men and have been reduced to kidnapping citizens by force on the street sending them to die without training, the Russians have ample resources of men and means

Russia didn’t divert any troops on the Pokrovsk front; if any they reinforced more troops along the frontline and pushed even harder, look at the DeepState map

Who's winning may be debatable, but in a war of attrition like this, it's clear the one's losing are the men and women on the front lines who are dying.
