Someone needs to make these as actual engines in that scale... a 1.5 litre ls v8 would be a great engine conversion for fwd cars and small Japanese kei cars... a Suzuki cappuccino would be perfect example

As one that remembers the old "Visible V8" Revell model, and one that also drives an LS based car (2012 Camaro SS) I can really appreciate this video. As always, great job describing the mechanics behind a machine. I want that printed V8 :)

I love that you will occasionally do "basics" videos. All the youngsters, coming up, can benefit from this. See if you can find a '3D printed' clutch and gearbox. That would make a pretty good educational video.

Those white background thumbnails you have been using lately are looking nice! I have definitely been seeing success with that style for a while. They really pop in search results that also happen to have white backgrounds.

I would love to see the exact same style video explaining a flat crank v8, comparing/contrasting them against a cross-plane crank in more detail. Ive been told that flat plane v8's make less low end torque, but are able to obtain much higher rpm's and hence higher horsepower. Which is subsequently (as I was told) why italian and german supercar companies use(d) them so often.(?) Great video!

Hey Jason, can you make a video about engine knock and how it is prevented? I'm thinking about the effect of different types of engine/intake air cooling, higher octane fuel, compression ratio, etc. This is more or less mentioned in a lot of video's but I couldn't find one that packs it all together. Loving your video's!

Very informative, I already knew about the "Otto Cycle" (the thermodynamic cycle that explains the functioning of all four cycle engines.) but I always thought that the V configuration was so complicated.

Excellent job explaining! Even I learned something! Nice 3D printed engine! Great video for a youngster or someone that doesn't have a clue as to how a typical car engine works. I found the reason for the compression leak...One head was a bit loose! LOL.

Good video. And I'd add that its the cross plane crank layout that gives the common v8 its burgley rhythmic sound compared to an exotic that might have a flat plane which would sound more like two four cylinders instead.

Jason, I love your electric car videos, and I'd love to see you explain the difference between the AC induction motor in a Tesla Model S/X and the switched reluctance motor in the Model 3. As I understand it, switched reluctance isn't a standard permanent magnet motor as we think of it (like in an electric drill, for example), but some sort of hybrid between induction and permanent.
