I completely understand what that first reply is talking about. He/she is most likely referring to Silksong (or as I call it, "Simpsong") the "sequel", about the abusive girl-boss character "Hornet". We can't have a male hero knight anymore, he's off the table, along with the rest of the amazing cast of characters the original game already had - we have to make a strong, edgy female as the protagonist and trash the whole original kingdom for her. It's a good example that I've made a few times regarding what's going on in the gaming industry. I don't mind a female warrior character, but Hornet is very unpleasant, narcissistic, arrogant, and cruel. Not to mention, a lot of the HK fandom is toxically woke... Too many games are getting this treatment, even obscure indie games like HK. Hornet essentially ruined the series. If "Simpsong" ever exists, it will absolutely not be successful. Everyone I have ever discussed HK with in the real world doesn't like Hornet. It would be better if TC just updated Hollow Knight and made a Hornet saga DLC, along with other characters playable. But no. It's all about the waifu... You probably wouldn't agree, and people who bring this game up here in the commenta (including myself) are getting a lot of vicious replies. I once heard that a lot of disabled people namely those who cannot walk got so much joy out of playing video games like Spider-Man and the Batman Arkham games because the experience was so immersive and real that it felt like THEY were doing that too.
