The coalition are united, gunning for the environment to mine. They drive a wedge between Māori and Pākeha to keep us distracted. Seymour presses 'equal' say for New Zealanders, which suggests the recent rich migrant supporters have the right to push agenda for our land. Majority Māori and Pākeha are anti mining. Dismantling Te Tiriti is the coalition's first duty before opening international tenders for mining. If this government is given permission and continue to a referendum, we invite any government to change policies that have been entrenched for decades eg nuclear. This coalition are a fan club for American politicians and fast profit over long term gains, it's degrading. It stinks of corruption.

@hamish1309 I agree. Thank you for contributing to the algorithm 😁. Reinforces the need to stop this coalition. Wise employable Kiwis go to Australia or FIFO. @hamish13096 ай бұрын
@@AilsaPehi you are welcome, lots of us want oil exploration too.
@AilsaPehi6 ай бұрын
@hamish1309 Oil exploration is too dangerous. There are too many unreported 'incidents' internationally, and when it is discovered, they've leaked upstream. Brazil, Nicaragua, and others had to take companies to court to clean up. They couldn't. We rely heavily on fisheries as a major export and money returns to NZ. Mining companies and oil rigs aren't owned by Aotearoa or our people. Job recruitment is initiated by their organisations based overseas. They do the vetting and likely employ their own nationalities at the executive level. We are the grunt, and our land and seas are their profit. They don't care for mental health, and there's proven issues around it, families, etc. That's why money is good. Mines and rigs are dry. Families and homes are far away. Exploration uses fracking, which is an abomination to the environment. Australia relies on mining and is owned by America. Do you think that hasn't impacted their decisions to support America in Gaza? If the coalition wants a more profit driven society, how about horticulture for cannabis? Legalise and tax. Kiwis own everything and profits stay here. Get huge alcohol orgs out and focus on craft beers, great wine, and superior gins and vodkas. We have alternatives but this coalition wants to align to another country. Thank you. Rant over. Carry on.

Thee govt wording of "all New Zealanders" in their principles, totally rewrites what the Te Tiriti states. I think its important for New Zealanders to also remember and understand that Te tiriti was written and agreed upon between two entities and New Zealanders werent one of them, i mention that to say our plight, our fight, our anger and frustration is not directed at the people of Aotearoa New Zealand nor should it be and i think alot of non Maori think we want to take up the fight against them but rest assured, Maori know full well who we fight against and that is the Crown. Not all Maōri are under the laws as NZ Maōri, it doesn't extend to us Cook Islanders ( Kuki'ia Ipukarea) are Maori ( realized I didn't use the ō because it doesn't technically exist). Those laws for New Zealand only not for Cook Islands ( which are Maori), our laws are way different with land and ownership. We didn't sign the treaty of waitangi we didn't sign away our rights to land or ocean like the NZ Maōri did, we fought to the bitter ends and still till this day culture and government are applied in utmost law in Cook Islands ( we even have Ariki and Mataipo in power, unlike NZ Maōri iwi which has no actual power over government). The Crown has less influence in Cook Islands then it has in NZ unlike NZ English is main language not Reo ( which is spoken by around 80ish % of my fellow Cook Islanders in the Cook Islands as a first language ) not English- it's taught at school ( api'i kopepo) in Cook Islands Maori meaning School education at first year of starting school compulsory. It's compulsory to speak Cook Island Maori since few years back to gain status no Reo no Status since 2018 ( I believe) yes I'm a native of Cook Islands Not like NZ Maōri they don't care if their language dies not enough people speak or care to learn it despite it being an official language.
