@@atmakali9599 He's implying that SEEING the process is enough to be able to perform the process, so that going back centuries, he'll be ahead of the process and get rich performing it. Of course, that means understanding metallurgy, acid distillation, glass manufacture, mineral pigmentation, and kiln firing. If he understands all those before going, you'd think he will miss modern plumbing, food, and conveniences. To each his own.

Main chemicals in this case would be borax and either sodium or potassium salts to lower the melting point. But the fact that they're adding clay means "chemicals" is about as specific as you can get. No chemical formulas for dirt.
