A massive generation of young people is about to inherit the world, and it's the duty of everyone to give them a fighting chance for their futures, says UNICEF executive director Henrietta Fore. In this forward-looking talk, she explores the crises facing them and details an ambitious new global initiative, Generation Unlimited, which aims to ensure every young person is in school, training or employed by 2030.

I am an advertiser student from Turkey and i watched all the video, i would like to say something about that topic: As an university student we have problems about internships, money and finding a job as Ms.Henrietta said. We all have these problems but we will never give up and we will try to make our world better. With all these stresses and problems, i saw many Turkish students try to make their country more beatiful than before. I hope one day i can be a leader for them to find their own light and ideas. Thank you Henrietta Fore.

Planning could if it would get done, however the attitude of some boomers are so extreme they won't even consider things like a vehicle ,license, and phone are essential for independent living for their grandchildren/kids and that they should from age 14, work and go it their own by magically not being able to contact an employer and go to their place of work and back and have time to even sleep or get an education(in rural areas, this is a case I know of)

Absolutely. One point she didn't provide a solution for was the fact that 10 million young people are entering the workforce every month but there aren't 10 millions jobs being created. The obvious solution is for us to adjust the norm of a 40+hr work week and distribute the work our society does over more individuals. That'd provide jobs for young people AND free parents up to be more involved in their lives and education. With the perpetual efficiency gains from technology and automation it is something we inevitability have to consider. It's either spread the workload or keep it the same and expand welfare perpetually. It seems better for everyone if we have more people working less hours to make a living.

There are currently about 50 million Bitcoin users. In Dec 1996 there were 36million Internet users and 4 years later in Dec2000 there were 360 million. Ten times the increase in users equals 100x increase in value for the network. We are seeing on average about 3.75x annual return, and that corresponds to the doubling of users every year so far, so the math is correct! Also, between 1990 and 1996 it took 6 years for the Internet users to get from 0 to 36 million and back then the world population was 6billion. Bitcoin has 50million users after 10 years but the adoption increase rate is just about the same because today only 4.2billion people with Internet connection tend to buy BTC. If history rhymes, it really looks like John McAfee or Tim Draper's price predictions could most likely be correct! These are the early days; we are the top 1%! IMHO the only thing that could derail Bitcoin, is the custody, and futures, and ETFs, and all that complicated mambo jumbo from "the legitimate institutions" which don't have an actual Bitcoin but will still sell you one nevertheless! "Your keys--your BTC; not your keys--not your BTC" Andreas Antonopoulos. .I came across a channel where high recommendations and accolades where given to Mr Brock James for his good trade guidance and strategy on how to trade, someone said he makes more than 6.5 Btc weekly with just 1 btc placed on trading daily, I was filled with disbelief but I contact him on and behold my first day trading, I was able to make more than what I have lost in crypto , over 5.9 Btc in seven days now, if you are still losing a lot and you want help you can simply send him request and consultations on via whatsapp +1 317 296-6062 or his email brockjamesinv@gmail com and telegram @jbrockj trust me he is the right one to start your trade with.

She sounds like an educated woman. But may I remind you that the phrase "He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future" was made by one of the worst men to ever walk the face of the earth. He committed suicide, as his ideas left his country in complete destruction. This tactic of elevating the youth is as old as the earth itself: Making their ideas sound infallible to you, causes you to join them in their endeavor. But, read between the lines and look into the past and view these ideas from both sides of the spectrum to see where these ideas may take you, before jumping on board. Salesmen sell you things THEY want you to buy; by making you believe you need them.

This generation has a sense of entitlement. Being given the impression that the world is fair. Instead of being held accountable and told to bust there butts in school to better obtain the fee "jobs" you claim are out there. There's very few people who are actual parents to their children; instead they want to be cool and their child's friend. Social Media teaches kids they can sit on the couch and do stupid stuff and that's some sort of talent. I witness this everyday and am busting my backside to fix what technology is ruining! I wish other parents and grandparents would join in the fight to save today's and tomorrow's youth.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they are likely aware that they are beyond such tasks. Like me growing up, I knew I had skills that asked me to venture into a more intellectual atmosphere; and I knew doing anything else would be a waste of talent. Kids are smart today, and they're exposed almost entirely to knowledge not involving manual labor. The work's gotta get done, yes, but you can't really fault them for wanting to invest their effort in something they're good at. Unable to parent at all because they were never home cause the bills need to be paid to the generation before them. The Millennials are not at fault in the least.
