This video was very informative in understanding how the elephants' food is sourced. I especially liked the explanation by your Operations Manager of the particular grass type grown there for the elephants' feed, and how it regrows and is sustainable. I also especially liked seeing the various people working there and learning what organizations they're from. And the various drone footages really helped me get a better understanding of the reserve that the elephants live at. Thank you to everyone that works there or volunteers there! And thank you for making these videos and sharing these important efforts with the world.

I really enjoyed seeing just what it take to feed this amazing HERD of elephants 🐘, and it takes a lot. It's hard to believe that you go through that much Lucerne in two weeks time. You all are like an assembly line and It's all hands on deck. Great video ❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️

How fun for us to watch. I would love to be there helping! I've got experience loading hay into a barn, so I know it is hard work. Also, made me itchy at the end. We can see how much hard work and effort go into caring for these precious elephants. Thanks to everyone! 🥰 They seemed to enjoy the cabbage. I'm so glad they get a variety of food.

But God knows what to do with all of creatures. Praise His Holy Name. To be able to watch from the start to where she is now I know is just amazing!!!! Wouldn't it be wonderful if the people in the world would take care of each other like the animals do. Treat each other like you want to be treated. Love one another as I am have loved you. That’s a lot of bales to stack. For my two horses….I stack four 80 pound bales of alfalfa and six 60 pound bales of timothy hay about every 2 weeks. I never feed grain….only pellets and crushed oats. I find it interesting that you feed the elephants pellets. I love pelleted feed because it’s easier for the horses to digest thus reducing the chance of colic. I love that tall grass you grow there…..it looks very delectable and yummy.

I have been following HERD for quite sometime so I am going to assume I know this answer..the elephant's develope attachments to each other and choose to be together, they go out into the wild everyday and sometimes encounter wild elephants. They would have to be accepted into a new wild herd but I believe that option is there for them. I think what has been done at HERD is so incredibly beautiful... please someone correct me if I have answered this question incorrectly.

That is very true. That was why she was slowly introduced into her new family. It was amazing how they did it. And when the older elephants were ready to take over the ladies can in she was ready to go but a little at a time. She had to get to use sleeping outside so amazing. It was just amazing watch them. Then we got a biology lesson about newborn ellie. God's plan for digestive system they are born with a sterile gi track so they are given elephant dung to get all the nutrients they need. Our Father is amazing. He takes good care of all of us in His own way. I have learned so much watching this vlog. Thank you Herd family.
