Yes, unions basically protect inept employees. Teachers unions are the worst. No one can tell me otherwise. I was in teaching for many terrible years. Teachers union spread propaganda about teachers not getting paid well…bullshit!! Prorate their yearly salary against the actual 9 months of work after you subtract all of the holidays and summers off. They are actually overpaid!!! They just recycle their lesson plans so basically they don’t really need paid prep time. Being a teacher is actually a glorified babysitter. Stop putting these indoctrinators on a pedestal. Their goal is to have a classroom full of over medicated children who don’t push back. The students are not taught problem solving skills and I tell everyone who will listen to homeschool their children. It’s really not difficult. Please don’t think that teachers care about your children. Many children traumas originate in school😞

I agree with you. I was in 4 th grade self teaching myself Ancient Greek writing and My teacher stopped me ,screaming, towering over me. I remember bowing my head on the desk, crying crushed. Then 5 th, Mrs Forney kept me after school to put soap in my mouth. ECT ECT YEAR AFTER YEAR. I now realize How many unaccountable Psychopaths there are. This truly breaks my heart to hear. I’m not sure why teachers are put on a pedestal. If parents knew the amount of medication that teachers are on, they would be shocked!! The trauma that an innocent, lively, curious child faces from teachers and other students is truly criminal and lasts a lifetime. Once we all admit that sending your child to be baby sat for 7-8 hours a day during their most formative years is destructive to their well-being, we will begin to heal and grow. Also, don’t ever think that there is such a thing as confidentiality when it comes to your child’s medical and emotional needs. What is discussed in the teachers lounge breaks every rule and is very sad. I cannot unsee and unhear my experience as an educator. The best thing I did was to switch careers right before Covid. What finally did it for me was when the staff was ordered to refer to a female 2nd grader as a he…all of “his” classmates had to refer to this feminine child as a “he” as well. It was a total shit show. The confusion and the chaos that the whole school had to go through for this one child was criminal. The amount of confusion for the other students was destructive. The entire school had to act like what was being requested by the parents of this confused child was normal. I can write a book….keep your children away from this government institution. Join forces with other like minded families and create your own educational pods. Be creative and take back your power. Encourage your children to be leaders and not followers! We are fortunate enough to have many alternatives to educating our children.

Nordics have had literally mere kids (some even under 30) in top jobs and the for example one prime minister rather went for drunken party while her country's political stuff was at stake in Europe while she was supposed to be on call. Regulations should only be for commerical business. For example we should almost outlaw commercial net fishing but have no rules for if you are fishing for yourself.
