Geezer won't probably see this, but I just wanted to say that you've been a huge motivation for me to start cycling to work everyday, it's like 20 km a day so not that much compared to you and I wanted to try it out even before discovering this channel but chanting "1s and 2s" to myself on more difficult parts and saying "the game is the game" when I feel lazy in the morning helps a lot when it comes to doing it day by day. And also mad respect for the whole team of yours for organising the whole thing, seems crazy to me!

Logistically, do you think it's easy for them to be acquiring fresh produce for Russ to eat in the Angolan desert? They're literally buying what they can based on availability - it's easy, cheap and digestible food, the main thing being that Russ hits his caloric needs. Obviously optimal nutrition would be great but I see these comments and it just seems naïve to think they're gonna be able to provide Russell with chicken salads and steak dinners when they're driving the length of Africa in a van

Contrary to the extremely popular opinion shared by russ at around 14:10 ish, eating breakfast before bed is actually not efficient! Your body will be using it's energy to digest the food you ate during sleep rather than using that energy to repair muscle tissue. Very unfortunate news I know!
