Please, do consider this: when making any exterior holes that expose the boat’s wooden core, like under the pedestal metal legs, drill oversized holes, epoxy the holes, then drill your correct sized holes. This will protect your boats wooden core from any moisture. 5200 and butle tape will fail you in these senarios. Everything is looking great!!!

WOW! The interior is looking really great! We have not had the greatest success in matching the original Hallberg-Rassy finish with the new mahogany trim we have installed here and there. Maybe you could post the secret although there probably are not all that many other Rasmus owners following your channel :D We really love our new refrigerator. It is a game-changer after only 4 months with it now. I don't know how we survived for three years without it. Not having to get ice every couple of days really limited us and all the meltwater was hard on the fresh veggies. Does the navpod spin so it can be viewed from the forward part of the cockpit? When the autopilot is running and it is rough and/or rainy with spray everywhere it is nice to be as forward as possible under the sprayhood and dodger. We have a Furuno autopilot with a tiny knob at the cockpit nav desk and it is like a second little helm wheel station up there for us. We use an Android phone or a tablet running Navionics in a holder at the helm and have our marine chartplotter in the nav desk panel with the autopilot control and the engine control panel. It is nice having multiple charts at different zoom levels going at the same time, especially in tricky inland waterways and inlets. It is also handy to have another tablet or phone for one of us doing last-minute research on anchorages, marinas, nav alerts and other stuff on the charts while the other helms and navigates on a different device. A new route or waypoints can even be sent from the phone to the plotter using the network. Handy. While you are sewing the cushions maybe make a cover for the helm pedistal/binnacle and wheel that protects all of that from rain and sun when you are not under way. Ours goes way down to the bottom near the sole and has just one long zipper at the forward side. It takes only a couple of seconds to put it on or take it off yet because it is snug at the bottom the wind could never take it with the zipper closed. We have the original wooden wheel and not the stainless option, so it is even more susceptible to the weather, but even so keeping yours out of the elements and sun will keep it fresh. We also made a matching snap-on cover for the cockpit nav desk to protect the engine panel, autopilot, and chartplotter from the sun. Maybe it will even hide all those expensive electronics from prying eyes at a free wall or bulkhead when we are away for a few hours. The same goes for covering the helm and your chartplotter. Where are you guys mounting your radar dome? We don't have radar yet. It is a future upgrade and we are wondering where the best place to mount it is on a Rasmus. Will it fit on the arch without blocking the solar panels?

Hi Dana and Lou, I enjoyed today's video very much. Fun fact, my uncle may he RIP was a chess tournament player for many years who competed with people from all over Europe at a national level. I remember when going up to visit my aunt and uncle who lived in north Bulgaria always had a chess at the table. It was wooden and always smelled nice, you know the smell of old wood is just bringing so many memmories. We played so many times, he took me to see future champions for the region when growing up and that was one of the best gifts.Sadly non of my friends likes or plays chess. And I have not had a partner to play with since 2014 as that is the last time we played with my uncle, you can learn so much about this game, it is really beautiful game, Stan is not really in to it so here we don't really play it either🥺 Seeing this made me genuinely happy and brought such a good memory in my heart! I am not bad but rusty now. Thank you for bringing that memory in to my heart and mind! Have a great week friends, stay safe and yess I am making the tacos for dinner 😊😊😊🌷🌷🌷! As always sending sunshine from rainy&windy Oklahoma! Nat&Stan P.s. I have asked before forgive me I promise I am not a stalker but what if I'd like to send you something how do I do so? I saw stuff for the kitchen and perhaps I'd like to send you something small but from heart for the boat 😊😊😊

Aw Nat, thank you so much for sharing those beautiful memories of your uncle!! He sounds like he was an incredible person (and player!!) Thank you for sharing that 💕 And also thank you so much for offering to send us something!! That is sooo kind of you!! At the moment though we are not quite sure ourselves--there is a bit of a delay between when we film videos and when we upload, so we are actually not going to be in our house for too much longer, yay! But thank you so much for thinking about us, that is incredibly kind 💕 But really, even just the super kind and motivating words you often share puts a smile on my face like you don't even know 🤗💕 Thank you so much, sending you and Stan our love!!!

@@WildWeRoam Good morning lovely family! You made me cry good tears this morning, thank you for being so kind to me! I am so happy to see your comment just now. It made my week so much brighter what can I say :) Sometimes you just feel connected with humans, and I enjoy seeing every video you make and I feel you are similar to us. You are good and kind people and we need more of that in the world right 😊😊😊 It is a journey on our own being here in Oklahoma as well, because we frankly don't have lots of friends around! Thus many hobbies like sewing, gardening and such occur haha. I gave up on vlogging when we moved in the USA, due to unknown and new environment. We adopted 3 cats so at least we hope we hope we did a good thing to offer them a good life, we did so because like Dana I was close to a cat back home-Rodney, sadly he could not come with us because he had heart issues. But every little counts right?! I understand, on the video/post location part. Thank you for getting back with me on that. It makes total sense. It was just genuine offer when I saw the renovation and decoration part, I though I must send them something handmade for the new place. After all thats why we are human right :) I will continue sharing and supporting as much as I can as well as Stan! We can't wait to see the next episode as always, and can't wait to see your new adventure! Thank you very much for the kind words, Mark! Indeed, there are a looot of steps (so much organization, ha!). A friend who is a psychologist once told me that anxiety and excitement are remarkably similar experiences in the brain (almost the same). So if you ever feel anxious with a large project (particularly one that is very important to you) then you can try to flip the anxiety into excitment by really focusing on how wonderful your hard work will be once you are done. And then try to have fun in the moment 🤗💕 sometimes easier said than done, of course!! Thank you so much for following along, and we wish you all the best with any projects you are working on!! I genuinely love this channel but I sense that she is a little controlling. I don't doubt their happiness one bit. It just feels like she kind of forces what she wants in passive ways. Example: the wiring. He wanted to get the wiring done from the beginning of the day but toward the end of the day she kept pushing to be done rather than do what he had set his kind to. This has happened a few times through this journey.
