one of my favs from the 80s,,, HBO showed it everyday for a while ,,, the popcorn scene at the end.... omg

Agreed! I’m amazed how well it stands up today, another cool aspect is in the commentary, the director mentioned how all the laser jargon they talk about in the movie is accurate! Supposedly, they even created the same laser they made at the end officially years later 😂

@@indieupside WOW no way,,, i always wondered about the laser specs they talked about.. i wondered if it was real or not.... that would be so awesome if it was all true data, real genius is the first movie i ever saw kilmer in and instantly liked him... great movie and 100% agreee it still stands up today and IS in my DVD collection,,, no wait,, my VHS collection....

"How did we miss...?" I didn't. I saw it in theaters. I lived by it.

Your point on Kilmer's comedic skill; Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. The perfect role.

It was so fun to see him back in comedy for that! He really only has Top Secret, Real Genius, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang for those, but he was hilarious in all three! 👌

I appreciate the feedback, it’s all a work in progress. Finding the fine line between attention spans is getting extremely difficult.

It came out when I was 18ish. I was always more slacker than scholar; but Val Kilmer was the coolest cool guy I'd ever seen! And I grew up when stage, screen and song were brimming with studs...❤

"WHAT IS ALL THIS"! "What this. This is ice. See this is what happens to water when it gets too cold". 😂🤣 I wanted to have my own dry ice party when I saw this. 🙂

Gee another one I better hang on to my VHS of it.🧐

I'd love to watch this without the SFX. I've still subbbed tho cause you're clearly talented! Just maybe reduce the number of them to just a few, lower them in volume, and only use them when something needs to pop?

Thank you so much, yeah I absolutely need to adjust it. It’s so interesting to see the audience demographics and how it impacts. This video is clearly a movie from 1985 so it’s not aimed for younger eyes. I’ll adjust it in the next one and hopefully get closer to a middle ground. I really appreciate you taking the time to help 😄 It means a lot!

Maths geniuses realizing that Chris is right, this might be the only opportunity they will have in their entire lives, to get laid.

Appreciate the feedback as well, I’m learning as I go. Being able to maintain the attention of different generations is really hard, but it’s a work in progress.

@@indieupsideso I'm sure you registered their sarcasm but good on you for replying in a mature, congenial manner. Maybe just a few less sound fx every 5 seconds 😅 Just a suggestion.

@@nickl6715 Thanks, I'm new at this so I just did a uniform treatment throughout. On the next one, I lowered all the SFX half volume and will see how that goes over. I appreciate everyone being understanding about it. We'll get there! 😅
