Positive experiences and good rapport with your guests brings repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals. You can never make another first impression, so that kind of advertising is so valuable to a starting business. Keep doing you and your efforts will pay off.

I'm sure having a farm stay, along with a farm, and a full time job, is so much work! You both seem to get so much enjoyment out of it even though it is tiring. The changing season is so beautiful in your area. Not so much here in Texas. It has still been so hot here. Yesterday was 33°C here 😓, but in the next few days it will get cooler...finally! Our nights will get down to between 12°C to 16°C. Anything is better than a low over night temp of 30°C. I can't wait. I hope the week with your guests goes well for you. Take care! Love from Texas ❤

great video guys, thanks for sharing. Happy Thanksgiving! My husband I would love to get a homestead. We have a townhouse, but we have a garden. We still grow a lot and we eat from scratch all the time. We made some pretty big changes in our family since the pandemic. I quit my job after 17 years to stay home with my 2 daughters. They love it. My husband only works and we thought we could never do it, but we did. Our priorities changed and we realized whats important.
@HiddenSpringFarm Жыл бұрын
What’s important is that you did the best for your family and are making it work. Kudos. Growing on a small scale is fine at least you’re doing it. I bet your closer to your kids now eh, I like that. My Darlin being Filipino, I’ve learned to love how family oriented they are and I’m impressed that you understood you needed a change. Keep it going.

I used to volonteer at our local foodbank and we had a couple of farmers who came and picked up the food that wasn't good enough to give to the people. That helped them feed their animals and helped keep the amount of garbage to a minimum for us. The animals picked the good and left the rest, which went to compost. It was a good exchange.

Thank you for creating this video about your farm stay. I’m happy to watch and learn as Husband and I are creating a short term rental stay on the acreage we own that’s right beside the Homestead property that we just purchased and moved to when I retired from my career as an RN. We also have 96 acres of forest with trails we are developing and looking at cabins…I think you mentioned some plans of your own in that direction. Plus…I’m looking forward to when you develop that pond you’ve spoken of as we will be making ours healthy and stocking it next year😁 So…I’m watching your journey as you are a few years ahead of us!

That Owl you heard in the background is one of the most loud I have ever heard before. It's a Great Horned Owl. For it to be calling out in day time was a warning to other owls or its mate that a hawk or eagle is patrolling in its area of ownership. Owls Are territorial.

Well we usually book guests through Airbnb, all the info on the property is in the listing. We charge $350/night, $450/night on Friday & Saturday. We offer a 20% discount for week long bookings. With the exchange it would work out to approx $1300 usd. You can use email too for more info.

@HiddenSpringFarm Жыл бұрын
@@monicap9980 so many people look for places that allow pets and most places don’t allow them. Us being a farm stay, we do allow pets. Usually dogs have the time of their life here cause of all the private space to roam plus our two doggos get to play with new friends. We’ve been using Airbnb as the booking app cause it’s just so easy. We have a two night minimum, 20% discount for a week booking. You can always email me too with more questions.

I don’t know really, we didn’t do anything. Lots of leaves were skeletized by Japanese beetles but the fruit are solid. Biggest issue is fruit dropping to the ground but we just gives those to the chickens and pigs.

I only subscribe to one American homestead youtuber, the rest I have unsubscribed. I got you from Canada and a handful of geniuses from the UK. It generally seems that KZbin homesteaders commitment to video documentation takes up too much of their daily hours. If you take KZbin out of your equation, you'll have plenty of time for the farm. So what's it gonna be?
