Great idea for the cabins. Maybe buy in cheap ones and work your personal magic on them. You would be fantastic giving farm tours for all the guests. Maybe do some shorts showing the fun people have on the farm ‘tours’ and put ads into them. You are becoming a celeb so the word will be shared. BTW the farmhouse looks gorgeous!

I did some work for a guy that had a 4 plex that he rented out on Evolv. The thing that was nice with this is that there was a porch for each unit and a covered fire pit/BBQ area, where all guests had access and they would party with each other, even though they just met. This was convenient for doing laundry and cleaning for several stays in one location. A sledding hill would be fun in the winter and a nature treasure hunt in the summer, where they are given a list of, oh say trees species, to find and check off the list. You could do signs to hang on the trees to confirm their discovery. Just some thoughts. We had an oak woods on the farm that I grew up on and we were 4 kids. When each of us were in the 5th grade, there was a field trip to our woods and the kids were given 2 paper lunch sacks to collect acorns in one and a leaf from as many different plants as we could find. We got simple prizes for the most in each sack, as we were taught the names of the plants and trees they came from and everything that could be made with acorns, how the flour was made and how to use them for decor and of course pigs love them. By the time my youngest brother had his class do it, there were just as many parents and there were kids coming. Just thought I would share.

Love this info-tour😁. Learning lots from you and your channel. We are looking at off grid cabins in our 100 acre woods in the future. The most difficult thing to find for off grid anything is county permits and insurance. In quizzing around…people aren’t even properly insuring their on-grid Airbnb homes. They are just relying on Airbnb coverage which isn’t very reliable according to all the channels and pages I’m following. So I’m studying and learning and moving forward. Thank you so much for all your talented work on this channel of yours. You give me hope 😁
@HiddenSpringFarm11 ай бұрын
Government loves telling us what we can and can’t do. I wouldn’t rely on the Airbnb coverage, since we have a mortgage and are running a business the bank wouldn’t even give a mortgage without a type of hotel insurance. Best of luck to you, believe me of everything that you have to do to get this done the most difficult is dealing with the red tape and bureaucrats and of course all the fees that go with it.

I am touched how they love you, your channel imparts to me the human and animal bond that connects us, to be one, and to forever be that bond. How many girl/boy cats do you have? Please tell. I’ve have had 21+ cats in my life and they all lived and loved to mostly a long life. I do miss them. I truly truly love Mr?/Ms. Bubbles. I believe she is a female. She is adorable and in my heart, I want her in my home ❤️. That being said I love Olive and Molly as you capture them in the farms daily life. Sir, you have one heck of a kick for Olive!with that ball, How many yards is it? My family and I are Christian, as such we recognize the life of Christ. Be well. Enjoy your channel very much. You could perhaps start out with camp sites. Modest accommodations, fire pit, barbecues and washroom facilities.Seems to be a high demand given the bookings at our provincial parks. If that took off would you ever want to live in the farmhouse permanently? P.S There is a fancy glamping farm not too far from you which you probably know about.
@HiddenSpringFarm11 ай бұрын
Yes glamping has become the IN thing, you never know I might do some tents or domes. Don’t think I would want to permanently live in the farmhouse, not saying we couldn’t do it…we’re just so accustomed to certain modern amenities like insulation, proper hvac, closets, decent sized rooms etc. we would like to build our home on the property eventually while still developing the business.

Just a thought, what about a long term rental home? Or cabin stay? My extended family always books a cottage for a week or 2 and they pay around 2500 for a 2 week stay! Just throwing out some ideas
@HiddenSpringFarm11 ай бұрын
The longest booking we’ve ever had was 3.5 months. We welcome longer stays especially since we’re very close to the ski resorts. I won’t do long term permanent rentals though as here in Ontario landlords have very little rights. A tenant can stop paying rent and you’re not allowed to evict or cut off utilities until it’s seen by the courts which can take over 2 years. This became a hot topic here during Covid cause thousands of people stopped paying rent and landlords are helpless. I’ll stick to only short term rentals.
