Me too man… but the great thing about KZbin is he’s always around. Plus I hate every social media platform except KZbin. It’s probably the only one that can actually make you a better person in terms of learning whatever you want, from how to play guitar or how to build something using power tools or whatever. His music just came so naturally it never seemed forced or overdone. Every band he was in made amazing music and he’s got the best Rock N Roll voice ever! He’s the greatest rock star to ever live IMO.

I reverse engineered that chorus and its so simple yet complex. it took a while to realize a part was actually a guitar and not Cornells voice.sounded like they sampled his voice screaming but was a guitar chord. I have a feeling they purposely ran the same chain of distortion on his voice as the guitar, they melt together. the dance between the left and right channels is masterfully engineered. the mix is really amazing. real sweet dance back and forth where things sound like something they're not. like im still not sure if they used a slide on the guitar or it was just the mix. but its such a sweet chorus section. very uplifting.

@blackturkdog10 жыл бұрын
no. he wasn't a perfect fit with Audioslave. that's not his sound. And guess what? audio (the members of RATM) prettymuch down themselves down to accomodate his talent. soundgarden and RAGE are 2 different entities with each group excelling in their own right. you can't elements of both to create something artisic. "Cochise" as much as I love it is basically a demo. I see more Rick Rubin on Audio's albums than the any presence of Chris .
@NicolasTylerDoyle10 жыл бұрын
blackturkdog im just 21, to give you some context, so for me i found audioslave first and then pandora of course suggested soundgarden after the fact. for me i love the mixture of audioslave. the whole vibe fits for me and my taste. but i can imagine for maybe older folks like yourself and others who grew up in the late 80s and 90s to think rage and soundgarden to be superior. i suppose its subjective.

***** Far, far better!! Audioslave isn't bad, on the contrary, but many songs sound the same. Audioslave and Soundgarden are not even comparable. I'm a Soundgarden fan from 1992. :)
