I used craftsmen's shallow 3/8th drive in 13mm to make 20 gauge shotgun slugs..I'd take a 3/8's drive extension and connect a 13mm socket clamp it in a vice and melt 50/50 (silver and lead) solder until full. Once cooled I'd take a 20 gauge high brass shell and dump the shot out and place the slug in it then I'd seal it with wax on the top of the shell. It got the job done during deer season!

Before the slug hit the plate, it appeared to be just moseying along, because we can't see how far it's moving, but when it hit the plate and went perpendicular to our line of sight, we could suddenly see how fast it was really going, and it zipped over to the board almost instantly.

I bet the way that resin or epoxy on the inside of the sockets dried/hardened is playing a role in the balance of the slugs. If it didn’t dry perfectly flat and level it will cause a wobble when it spins due to being a little heavier on one side than the other. Love this idea though.
