I had a similar issue with my Mercedes A class, pot hole took out a tyre. The supplied puncture kit was useless, low profile tyres, split side wall. Called Mercedes assist, no problem, said they would call their UK partner, the RAC, waited 4 hours, to be told, by text, from the RAC that no one was available. Started calling around, found a mobile tyre service, arrived in 20 minutes with a new tyre.

Rory back in the 70's all Volvo 240's came with compressors like that one made by Bosch , i don't know if it was just in North America ,Volvo had gone like many companies to the compact spare tire that you had to inflate I never ever had to use mine even after i stopped driving the car , the compressor lasted a little bit over 25 yrs, its a good option to have, and that little compressor allowed me to help allot of people over the years 👍

All new cars should have spare tyres. Super quick and easy to get on with your day. No spare, need help, EVs need large trucks to move them, tyres market super complex now, so rare to have stock available, have to order, no car til sorted! and we call that progress…..

While the glue will get you home what they dont tell you is youve just made the tyre unrepairable if thats allnit needed so it basically wastes a tyre that could have cost less to repair than replace.

This business of not having a spare wheel in cars is a total modern day scam considering the fact that more and more cars are getting low profile tyres cause they “look” nicer
