I'm an electrical engineer work in wind turbines installation... and what he explained is absolutely right expect the rpm of rotor blades which is always kept in 6-15rpm nowadays.. anyways he put a lot of efforts in making this video about windmills congratulations for that..

Some Small Corrections. . 1. Yaw Mechanism - Wind vane or Ultrasonic Anemometer will Provide the Signal to change the Turbine According to wind Direction. 2. We use DFIG . this Acts as motor and also as Generator. Initially it acts a motor , once it moves to Sync mode it acts as generator. we can take 80% of Current from stator and 20% of current from Rotor.

இதை புரியவைக்க திறமையான engineer ஆக இருக்கவேண்டும். 1500 rpm என்பது நிரந்தரம் அல்ல நாம் உபயோகிக்கும் 2 kva க்குள் இருக்கும் அத்துனை ஜனரேட்டர்களும் ஹைஸ்பீட் 3000 rpm வேகம் அதற்க்கு மேல் பெரிவை 1500 rpm இன்னும் சில பழைய கால மற்றும் நீர்மின்சார ஜனரேடர்கள் slow speeds eng 750 இன்னனும் குறைவான rpm இல் கூட இயங்கும் 2 pol 3000 rpm 4 pole 1500 rpm 6 pol 1250 rpm 8 pol 750 rpm இதுவும் 50. 60 Hz சைக்கள்களில் மாறுபடும்.

Hi bro I’m Dr. Ijaz Fazil, I did my PhD in wind turbine Aerodynamics. I hope your main concern is on wind mill than wind turbine. If your particularly concerned about wind turbine you should have explained about lift force because it is the main reason for the wind turbine to rotate. Also if I’m not wrong cut in speed n cut out speed is not fixed it depends on the turbine. Just to add, wind flow is due to pressure difference. Overall nice video

Bro the main reason for the the rotation is relative velocity with respect to blade which causes lift as it is connected to a rotating hub it rotates ( not the actual velocity of wind which is only used to give initial movement)that's why twist is given along the blade with varying angular velocity

Yeah you are right , its simply aerodynamics, an aerofoil structure to produce lift and we are converting lift to rotation

Without gear box wind turbine also available. Gera box required for Induction generator For synchronus generator gear box not required it will work in variable speed and we can stabilize the frequency by using different type of converters Overall gud videos

ஒரு சிறு பிழையிருக்கிறது. இந்த காற்றாலையைத் தொடங்குவதற்கு மின்சாரம் தேவை என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறீர்கள் அது பிழை. இந்த காற்றாலையில் இருப்பது Synchronous Generator. இது நாம் பயன்படுத்தும் 3phase motor தான். மின்சாரம் செலுத்தப்படும்போது Stator ஒரு சுழல் காந்த புலத்தை உருவாக்குகிறது இது Rotor இல் மின்சாரத்தை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது. இப்போது ரோட்டார் சுழலவில்லை என்றால் இந்த மின்சாரம் மிக அதிகமாக இருக்கும். இந்த மின்சாரத்தால் ஏற்படுத்தும் காந்தபுலம் Stator காந்தபுலத்துடன் ஈர்ப்பு அடைவதன்மூலம் இந்த Rotor சுற்றுகிறது. ரோட்டாரில் ஏற்படும் மின்சாரமும் அதனால் ஏற்படும் காந்தபுலமுமே இந்த மோட்டார் சுற்ற காரணம். ஒருவேளை இந்த ரோட்டார் Stator ஏற்படுத்தும் சுழல் காந்தபுலத்தின் வேகத்தில் சுற்றினால். எந்த மின்சாரமும் ஏற்படுவதில்லை, எந்த காந்தபுலமும் ஏற்படுவதில்லை, ஆகையால் மோட்டார் வேகம் குறைந்து விடும். இந்த நேரத்தில் Stator காந்த புலத்தால் எந்த மின்சாரமும் எங்கும் உருவாக்கப் படவில்லை என்பதால் Stator coil-இல் எந்த மின்னோட்டமும் இருக்காது.. இதனால் இந்த Synchronous motor. ஒருபோது 1500RPM த்தில் சுற்றாது. சற்று வேகம் குறைவாகவே சுற்றும். இதை negative slip என்போம் அதாவது பின்னோக்கிய வழுகல். பின்னோக்கிய வழுகல் அதிகமாகும்போது ரோட்டாரில் ஏற்படும் மின்னோட்டம் அதிகம். இந்த மின்னோட்டத்தை அது மறைமுகமாக Stator-இல் இருந்து பெறுகிறது. ஒருவேளை நாம் வேகமாக இந்த rotor ஐ சுழற்றினால் அதாவது 1500க்கும் அதிகமான வேகத்தில் சுழற்றினால். அது முன்னோக்கிய வழுகல் positive slip. இப்போதும் அதேபோல் ரோட்டாரில் மின்சாரமும் காந்தபுலமும் ஏற்படும். ஆனால் இப்பொழுது Stator- மின்னோட்டத்தைப் பெறுவதற்குப் பதிலாக திருப்பி அனுப்புகிறது. அதாவது மின்னோட்டப் பாதை மாறுகிறது. மோட்டார் ஜெனரேட்டராக மாறுகிறது. Negative slip = current consumed. 0 slip = no current is consumed / produced. Generator will not act as a motor above 500 RPM. Near to cut-in time it will work as a motor, it’s only in particular model. also we have lot of model’s of windmills, permanent magnet type generator, with gearbox and without gearbox, but your concept is correct👍.
