I think she's still working on it. She does come off as forcing the edginess a bit. She's one of those comedians who starts out really strong, with a very distinct voice, but if she sticks with it, in five years she's gonna be so natural with this stuff, it's gonna be next level. I first heard her on Mike Birbiglia's podcast, and the person on that show is even funnier and more poignant than the person onstage. Part of the fun of watching a talented comedian evolve is seeing them become themselves onstage.

@@719sikora It seemed like they were more uncomfortable and concerned than anything else. She's a comedian, so either the things she said are totally fake or she is totally past them. Either way, she was really funny (especially as female comics often struggle with her style of comedy). That's all I mean. She deserved more laughs but it was like she was in a room of people who forgot that comedy is an escape from reality, and sometimes it is a good way to look at the hard parts of life and transform them into something less painful as well as more enjoyable.

@Johnny Courtemanche She didn't seem to need any support, just seemed like nobody was catching most of her more well-versed jokes. As I have said, comedy is about taking the grim parts of life and turning them into something that can make you smile. She did it really well and I could watch her regularly if this is her style. There is too much pussyfooting in modern comedy; she is right out there with it which I think a lot of us can value.
