Washing Whales is not bad, however, it is not great. Not yet at least. After a few months I still don't care one bit about the story. The best narrative was Encore episode. Camellya did not even get a unique boss fight. Carlos and Yuanwu are literally shafted out of any significance. The two things it has going for it are stellar combat and character designs (Zani my beloved). Hope they step up their writing game with Rinascita. Otherwise Endfield will blast them apart. It is still growing, therefore full of potential. I am pleasantly surprised with much better dailies than in their previous game PGR. But there are issues. Like why can't we turn excess echoes into echo leveling mats? Or hell, even random mats (res exp, weap exp, echo exp, gold)? I will judge it fully once the first anniversary arrives.

Camellya had a boss fight with rover. Calcharo’s organization(?) has not been introduced yet and that’s why we still don’t have a lot of info on Danjin as well. Yuanwu… No one give a shit about him 😭 writing him into story is just wasting resources You can’t turn excess echos into echo mats for a reason. You can infinitely farm echos in overworld and it will be extremely hard to balance the game if players can just farm and farm mats in overworld without stamina gating of some sort. wuwa doesn’t even have a big enough fanbase for Endfield to “blast apart”. + Am I the only one to think that multiple gacha games can thrive without killing other gacha games or whatever. It will be impossible to get hoyo numbers that’s for sure but ananta, NTE, endfield, wuwa they will all be successful each in their own way.

And god I wanna play shorekeepers quest again now 😭 I'm a little sad wuwa didn't win best mobile game of the year but they did have a bad start on mobile or so I heard *I only started playing on jinhsi her banner after getting the jinhsi ad that was apparently a leaked clip they used as an ad which made it so much better for me anyway* and I just love the devs. Zzz and wuwa both had a rough start one with bugs the other with TVs and refusing to listen to their community. Even so they've been improving so much over the patches they at least deserved something! And hearing the hate their trailer is the saddest part I at least hope it got people to try it out as the game is really worth it I randomly decided to install the game after getting the ad twice and I've loved every second of it so far it obviously has it's flaws but for a gacha game it offers you an incredible experience and they care for their players and personally that's all I want in a game (if anyone made it this far you should definitely check out their main channels too the amount of cute fanart and short videos they make to learn more about their characters is really cool) I just hope people will stop bashing on wuwa so much starting 2.0 they deserve better

Win or Lose in the game awards still they won the players hearts which is the vital point of every game. I play both games, but I feel like I'll be quitting Wuwa. The reason is their approach to pistolero characters: they refuse to give them free aim. Rumors are, the new pistolero character in 2.x will not be able to aim manually, and instead will just have a bigger boom with hold-attack. This is not my type of gameplay.

I don't mind wuwa not winning, but i check balatro, that game has around total 10k review on both ios and android with 4.8 and 4.9 average rating respectively, compare to vampire survivor 3.8k rate 4.6 on ios and 68k rate 4.0 on android, we don't need to check view counts and rating for wuwa or zzz. The fact that wukong win at player voice but astrobot win TGA instead of either Metaphor or Wukong tells a lot. Im using old laptop (not even gaming one) barely had 30 FPS and long loading screen. it's very potatoes for WuWa and im used to it with other games too someone comment me, that he had issues because of FPS shutter something like that. told him that he not very grateful with his High end PC bucause of that little issues. He not very happy I said that and told me Genshin better so on and on. WuWa is very different game mechanic than most gacha open world. unlike Assasin Creed, Elden Ring, RDR, etc. WuWa is basically Free game and their Gacha game mean they will fix things. if it Pay games, I'll be mad if there any single bug.

Im a Genshin Vet who started from the end of the very first banner, who also spent money both myself and got gifted, but giving up that game's the best decision I made. Hoyo's just predatory, doesnt listen to its community and thats why now the game fell short. Limited innovation over money making's just not it. WuWa became fresh experience, that's all. I also remember Genshin players shit talking about Tower of Fantasy, calling it copy and failed "Genshin-killer". Each time new gacha game is about to release, they accuse it as failed "Genshin-killer", thinking Genshin is center of gamedev. They are just delusional crybabies who sit on copium for years. (Well it was rush comment, might make some mistakes or non-logical words but that's what i feel.)

I'm also a day one genshin player, and quit during natlan, because it took too long for characters that i liked to release, and when they did i was often disappointed by their kits. And the game felt like a cash grab that was becoming more and more marketed for kids and young teens. even when there was drama, and lack of understanding with the devs, i still kept playing because there was no other game quite like it until wuwa came around. wuwa did copy genshin a bit, but i actually like that, because the game felt easy to get used to, and most of what genshin lacked they improved upon, so i saw no point to play gentrash anymore.

mihoyo's games will never live up to their full potential because playing them feels like im a child and the characters are all dora the explorer. The hand holding in genshin, star rail and even zzz is exhausting, but especially in genshin. paimon genuinely made me quit the game alongside mhy whitewashing cultures that aren't white. Wuwa so far seems to respect both the player's intelligence and the real world inspirations it takes from much more than genshin did

The only game that I think it deserve GOTY is Holocure. No Mircrotransactions despite being a “Gacha game”. Even Dev Refuse the deal from Cover Corp. to add Microtransaction in the game. Not many bugs and perfect on release. Characters are fun to play. Quite a huge replay ability with collabs and stuff you can do in the game. They even add a bloody Jump King map to the game. A Gacha Games that doesn’t even need money. They even have Casino that also again, not using any real money. Perferct 10/10 game and only thing why this game doesn’t get GOTY award is because it is a Fan Game. See? Gacha games aren’t all about money.

A lot of the problem is with the community. Even in comments here see people pointing fingers at Genshin and Hoyo. Lack of self-awareness, lack of humility, lack or self-reflection. WuWa community has a huge chip on it's shoulders, screeching at Genshin and demanding things it has not earned or deserved. The mainstream is never going to look at the WuWa seriously or respectfully while the community keeps acting as poorly as it does.

Genshin is such pioneer on bringing gacha to the new AAA level, too bad they chose to milk those casual from the covid time instead of improving it for those who truly invested in the game. It is so FRUSTRATING being ignored for years, the feeling when your favorite game treat its playerbase so poorly is just... sad. Wuwa is like a breath of fresh air with how the devs handle it, but honestly, the story isn’t that great (at least to me), and the lack of elemental reactions keeps it from fully replacing Genshin. So I just play both at the same time. Maybe one day there will be a game that took genshin innovation and bring it to another level so i can finally switch? Or maybe the genshin dev finally listen? Which ever came first
