It is because of rare uploads and videos so long they discourage retention. Those things are not good for getting big. I watched til the end and just realized that this is a 1-year+ old video. I'm impressed with all the efforts and details thrown into this one single recap video, and also the fact that how deep the lore runs in Genshin to the point that 3 hrs is not enough to cover everything the game has to offer (not to mention that it's still expanding and not gonna stop anytime soon). Also made me realized how much time could have been saved if there was a skip button all along lol. Thanks for the video, it really reminds me of what made me loved Genshin so much ever since the release. Looking forward to future volumes as well!

There are a million other things hidden in the lore of artifacts and weapons like crimson with of flame artifacts set or the 5 musical instrument weapons that adds to the story of the manga which is an entirely different topic. The reason for her absence has to be very important, for her to stay separated from her daughter, when we know how much she's willing to do for Klee

I cannot believe how amazing this recap was. Like... it was so accurate, humorous, and not to mention nostalgic. I stopped playing genshin because i had no money for a computer and my iphone's storage was full. I absolutelly loved the game and hated it when i had to quit. I was really into it, it was my safe place and it trully means a lot to me. Unfortunately, because of health problems (which comes with bad memory and forgetting almost everything) i forgot almost everything. Now, after i was able to buy new computer, the first thing i did was to download genshin again. I stopped when i finished dendro chapter. But i didnt want to play straight away when i dont remember things. Same, a lot of it was confusing when the Traveler greeted people I'd never seen before like they knew each other (with the biggest shock coming from the fact the Traveler knew about Kaenriah while I had never heard of the place). Theres one detail about the lore you forgot about. The unknown god casted him/her in everlasting slumber of only nightmares. This was mentioned in the old intro of this game, and the traveler confirmed it in his/her dialog with paimon (if you listened too the character edit, I think thats what its called)

First off, this is amazing and so well put together! Thank you so much for putting in all the effort in creating this timeline/history video! Second, just a note which has likely already been said, but Albedo is not biologically related to Klee, Alice, or the "race of longevity" (which many have presumed to be an elf-like species due to Klee's ears). He is (spoilers for his backstory) an alchemical experiement created by "Gold"/Rhinedottir, a woman from Khaenri'ah who also created the Rifthounds in Inazuma. This is why he feels a connection to Durin, because they are both creations of Rhinedottir and could essentially be considered siblings. Alice and Rhinedottir are friends and after spending his youth with his master, Albedo was given a note which told him to go find Alice and join the Knights of Favonious. Alice told Albedo to call her "mother" but he doesn't, rather refering to her as "Aunt Alice" as we saw. Despite this, he sees and treats Klee as his younger sister, often looking after her. So yeah! Not biological siblings or cousins, but they do have a family-type relationship!

I'm really thankful that you made this video bc even though I didn't miss even one of these events and read all the lore, I still don't remember all the nice details. Especially now that I've had a break from Genshin for over 6 months (bc my old computer couldn't handle the updates anymore lol) and just recently got back into it. So it's nice to get a reminder of whom we already met and who had what role in the lore!

I decided to watch the video just to recall all the things that happened, since there's so much content and so much more to come. This gave me so much nostalgia, I really wish I could replay the game for the first time again. I also loved all the memes and the jokes, they made the video really entertaining. i sat through this whole video hardly a week ago when it barely had like 10k views. i thought that was atrocious with how much genuine passion and effort you put into a 4 hour long video!! that said, coming back to it now, im amazed and relieved to see it have nearly 200k views as of the time im writing this comment, the youtube algorithm is messy and ridiculous, but im glad you're getting your dues with this wonderful masterpiece starting to garner so many peoples attention! keep up the great work :-)

I’ll binge vol 1 and 2 because I only started playing genshin in 3.0 and missed so much, even new events because they were in regions I haven’t unlocked yet so this is a massive help for me! I took my time playing and only got to inazuma after almost a year of daily playing so there’s LOADS I missed - including many story quests that I haven’t started yet bc I wasn’t interested in the character involved. But these videos really get me engaged in those stories too :)

i remember when i first started playing, i was spoiled by a lot of things in the story because both of my siblings play genshin and as someone in genshin's demographic i've heard a lot about it before actually playing. however the biggest plot twist for me is that our traveler actually remembers Khaenri'ah and then we learn the actual truth. we were conscious during Khaenri'ah and that we were there for a time BEFORE we fought the unknown goddess. which is a big plot twist bc we play the game thinking that traveler crash landed in Teyvat and when they tried to leave they were stopped. so it turned out that traveler is keeping secrets even from the players. and the only people who know this is Paimon and Dainsleif. and this was the actual change in genshin to give us a better picture of the world. thinking about Dain, when he asked who holds more important to the gods, vision bearers, non vision bearers, or none of them. i remember thinking that in early game i chose the vision bearers bc yknow fictional logic, the special ones are preferred. but now having played the game for the past 6 months, i think that the answer would be neither. rather the gods care about the people of their nation, but do not care if they carry a vision or not. and especially don't care even if a vision bearer has their element but lives in a different nation. and we now know that the visions aren't actually granted by the gods themselves, which would make sense on why they don't particularly care about vision holders because they don't ultimately decide who gets what. i just thought that this question was interesting considering this was 1 of 3 questions Dain asks us beside barbatos and morax. implying that this is important enough of a question to be beside those 2 VERY confidential topics. and since we could pick anything we wanted, i wonder if these answers will have any bearing in the future

Wow! Thank you so much for putting this together. Your 45-page script is amazingly hilarious, loved it! I used to play on a mobile device that freezes whenever cut-scenes start so I'm very thankful videos like yours that gives me the chance to view them again. The only part of the event order that is different from how I imagined is: the Unreconciled Stars event could be before the Windblume Festival (v1.4) and this festival is after the Lantern Rite(v1.3). But I guess since they're pretty independent events so this works too. Would love to see more story videos from you!
