One of my favorite basketball teams, period. Seeing these guys go through heartbreak after heartbreak (those San Mig Coffee series really hurt), then to finally taste success all while doing it as an indie team in the PBA - It's one of the PBA's best stories. It's just a shame that the culture of the PBA makes this type of team-building an outlier rather than an ideal model.

I am a proud fan of this organization!! Kung ihahambing ko ito sa NBA, parang sila yung Memphis Grizzlies na grit and grind talaga pero mas may outside shooting lang sila. Tapos laking tulong pa na Independent team sila kaya hindi mahirap masuportahan. Coach Yeng Guiao is really for the independent teams. Iba yung dating nya nung nasa Red Bull sya at RoS at mapapansin natin na nung nasa NLEX sya, hindi nya masyado magawa yung mga usual antics nya. Now with Coach Yeng back at the helm sa ROS, I don't expect them na mag champion agad but at least, I expect them na maging competitive to the point na pwede silang maging lason ng mga powerhouse teams. Great content bro! As a fan, nung nakita ko yung mga footage nung nag champion sila, it took me back dun sa mga times na yun and those were the fun times!

Grabe magdevelop si Coach Yeng ng players. Yung mga players na hindi expected tumagal sa PBA or hindi galing sa mga kasikatan na schools, nagkaroon ng successful careers. Kahit na Ginebra fan ako, seeing Coach Yeng back in ROS will make the league even better and more competitive. ROS already has a solid core of new talented players and a mix of players in their primes and veterans who know the team culture. Pinaka-excited ako makita yung development ni Mamuyac, Nieto, Santillan, and Norbert Torres.

Extra Rice inc. was a legitimate front court unit at the time, and they can stretch the floor to eliminate JMF's defense. Tapos may Jireh Ibanez at Gabe Norwood ka pa to shut down the perimeter players. Then, you have prime Paul Lee and Jeff Chan. All headed by the unpredictable coach Yeng Guiao. That was my all-time favorite PBA team... Lee, Chan, Extra Rice, Norwood, and the bench mob (with CYG barking & cursing at the sidelines lol). It was a ragtag group of dudes a tier or two below the main marquee stars of the league, yet everyone understood their role and bought into CYG's system, always the underdog against the "Big 2" corporations' teams yet you just know they were always going to turn every playoff series into a dogfight. I miss those times when teams outside of the "Big 2" corporations had a legit shot at winning a chip.

They can be compared to the bad boys pistons not only known as bad boys but also the giant slayers. ROS is always a dark horse in the PBA until today prove me wrong, they start with random players and all of them have the greenlight to shoot threes. Kahit siguro ilagay mo si Jun Mar or Greg sa ROS matututo at matututo mag tres ung mga yun eh. That's what made them formidable and scary, not every team have the license to shoot threes and start with authority.
